Sercotel Portales  

The location was great. Right on the pedestrian walk to downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel. The parking garage was nifty, the car entered an elevator. My car enjoyed it.

Breakfast was expensive, 10 Euro a person.

For people walking the camino, the location of this hotel is perfect! It is right on the route of the camino, right opposite the tourist information office and around the corner from the best streets for restaurants and tapas bars.

It is a very modern, clean hotel, but there is no character, no ambiance.

Good position for visiting the City Centre. Clean and tidy hotel. Spacious bedroom.

Hotel staff not that friendly. Safe in room did not work, was reported as faulty but not repaired. Finding the hotel was a nightmare even though I was armed with maps and knew it would be difficult to find. The car parking lift was very narrow and not that long. Underground car parking area was too small and difficult to maneouvre in. No tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast too expensive

The hotel was well-located on a pedestrian street in the center of town, and had a very affordable price. My room was very quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. I especially liked the free wifi. I would certainly return.

The hotel was perfectly located near the center of the city. Just across from the tourist office and only a block away from a large selection of tapa bars and shops. It was easy to come in and out of the city from the highway.. The room was large with a king size bed with a nice view from the window. Bathroom was spacious and water was hot and with good pressure.

Excellent location in centre of town. Good standard bathroom & bedding.

Expensive breakfast (10.80) considering what was available. No wholemeal bread for example and watermelon the only fruit.

Excellent hotel, very good location near calle Laurel tapas street and rest of old town, Frienly service, Good price value! Recommendable!

Easy location for centre of town.

The bed was a little hard and the television a little too high. The directions supplied by Booking.com were wrong. It sent us up the wrong way up a one way street, through a pedestrians only street, for which we will probably be fined, finishing in a street with no hotel in it. Having to stop and ask, local people and lists such as Yellow Pages, Tourist Office town map, know the hotel as Hotel Portales and calling it Hotel Sercotel Portales made it difficult to find. It was a nightmare, especially as once we understood the geography, it was in fact, so easy to get to, a straight road from the motorway!!!

The rooms are impeccable and the hotel location is unbeatable.It is worth mentioning that we had a problem with the reservation (our mistake, not theirs) and they were very helpful and fixed it.

We experienced a very committed and service minded personnel!

What is there not to say about the Portales! Excellent location. Just blocks away from Calle Laurel, for those who want to enjoy the legendary tapas crawl! The hotel has parking (for a fee) and wi-fi is included. Beautiful views of the valley, if you're lucky to get a view facing the mountains, and the pedestrian street. Moments away from bars, restaurants, and the beautiful cathedral. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back if given the opportunity!!!

Nothing to do with the hotel, but if you do get a street facing room, be advised that there can be street noise over the weekend with students partying on the streets. Just consider it part of the experience!
