This charming hotel is situated in the historic and retail heart of the town, facing the oldest bullring in the world, where bullfighting was born.

Wonderful position if you like walking. The young new owner speaks some English and was very helpful. Would love to return in May.
In Dec.although sunny it was very cold and the restaurant didn't serve dinner until 8pm.
The conversations and recipes. The warmth if the owners, a young couple who have decided to make a life for themselves in this charming mountain village.
Very nice and friendly place in a beautifull village with many hiking opportunities. And excellent food!
Jesús and Ester are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely with amazing views over the mountains. Jesus obviously loves cooking and the food in the restaurant is excellent, using local produce, and is extremely good value. This is a great location for exploring the area, whether on foot, by bike or by car, but this small town is also lovely for just relaxing and unwinding in the friendly local hostelries.
The food was amazing! Cheap and decent breakfast. Nice welcome! Great staff
The owners were very friendly and the food was superb! A brilliant location .
Room small but adequate, comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and varied, very tasty homemade food. Evening meal delicious, the lady of the house is an excellent cook. English spoken very well (not usual in small Spanish hotels yet). Parking on street available beside the hotel. However, the hosts intend to leave Benaocaz and move to Arcos de la Frontera in May 2014, so maybe the delicious food will not be available after that.
The hostal infrastructure is in a poor state (banisters missing, etc.). Perhaps this will be remedied when new owners take it over.
The food was absolutely wonderful. Take care though - the managers are leaving in late May and they made the place.
The facilities are very dilapidated. Although the beds were clean the rooms were dusty and in need of paint.
Very nice owner of the small hotel, only 3 rooms, and a restaurant downstairs. His wife is running the kitchen and cooks very good as the owner recommended us to eat in the hotel. We left the hotel early in the morning before breakfast time but the owner prepared a breakfast and set the coffee machine in the common room. What a surprise and so kind. A lovely place to stay.
nothing to write down.
The food was wonderful, varied and featuring lots of local dishes. Best evening in a hotel I can ever remember enjoying, chatting, drinking and learning so much about the area. Juan and Ali have so much knowledge and enthusiasm for the area to share. Perfectly placed for walking trips or scenic drives in the Grazelema. Can't wait to go back.
The owners were super friendly and imparted great insights into life in Spain and life in general. Much fun. Food was typical Andalusian and excellent.
