Poshada Rural  

Stayed for one night after leaving the hot beaches of the south and boy are we glad we did. This place is wonderful. Peace, quiet, unpolluted fresh air. Very good food, spotlessly clean, very characterful even though quite basic but completely satisfied our needs. We booked "the suite" which was on the roof and had a massive terrace looking straight down the valley to the sea. If you like the countryside as it used to be you will certainly like this. The owner cannot speak a word of English but with sign language and gestures it was not a problem and he even gave us a map the next morning to see us on our way.

Not a problem for us but maybe for some people - make sure you get into the shower rather quickly as there is not much hot water and when the water runs cold it is absolutely freezing as you would expect up the mountains.

Lovely owner and staff. Family atmosphere. Relaxed. Unfussy. Good food and wine. Lovely breakfast. Great log fires.

Extremely friendly owners made us feel like coming home. The dinner was cheap and very tasty. Also the wines were great. The weather was lousy in January but it's only 40 minutes drive to the northern coast. The room was nicely decorated and the view was nice when it wasn't too foggy. The house was lovely and had nice fireplaces.

If you don't speak spanish it can be a bit difficult to communicate with the owners.

We arrived late and had only booked B&B but were still able to have a superb 3 course meal for 15 euros each - so good we ate in every night. Comfortable room, cosy lounge with log fire, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Location more prone to low cloud in winter but close enough to clearer mountain areas for walking. Sometimes had to wait for hot water for showers if all guests back at the same time.

Our stay here was the highlight of a great family holiday on Gran Canaria, we enjoyed the rural feel and the personal touch of the place, the friendly and helpful owner, the lovely and welcome wood fires for the chilly evenings, fantastic and varied food. We would definitely recommend and hope to return at some point ourselves.

Good for people who like to spend holiday peacefully. Stylish country hotel, brilliant landlord.

It`s quiet difficult to find bugs in this hotel, only thing was I heard my dinner get partly made in microwave,but food anyway was good.

We stayed at Poshada Rural for a week in November 2012. Very friendly staff, nice, easy going atmosphere. Surrounding area is very pretty, Fontanales has a nice restaurant, Sibora, honest, cheap, good food.

Hard to find in the dark. Our flight arrived late in the afternoon. From Fontanales follow route to Artanara, After 1,5 km , there is a sign for the hotel where you turn right.

Friendly service and atmosphere. Simple but good meals. Cosy rooms.

Nothing major, we only had to strive a bit to get hot water for having a shower.

Was in the location I was looking for. Saff were warn and friendly The house was lovely. very clean and well set out. The service was excellent

This hotel, in terms of the rooms was basic, but they did the basics well, the rooms were spotlessly clean & reasonably comfortable. The location was absolutely fantastic, the service excellant (although not much English!) & the food in the restaurant gorgeous! It was great value.

I'm not sure I could have stayed there long, nowhere to put your belongings in the room and not very much room full stop in there. Also the swimming pool is 1 of those temporary structure type things and does not look as nice as it does in the photos, the outside areas are a bit unkept aswell.

The location was perfect for a relaxing holiday so tranquill. The hotel has only recently been refurbished and had been done to a very high standard and the decor was extremely tastefully done mixing modern and more traditional furniture in all the rooms. We would definitely stay there again. The owner is the chef and makes very appetising meals.

The position and outlook were ok

It is really deep in to the hills and driving was tedious, bed was extremely hard and it was a little to quiet for us

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. This cosy house surrounded by mountains is really very nice. All the rooms are clean and have its own individual design. The owner of the hotel is very hospitable. If you need some help you can be sure you will get it. The food is delicious and from time to time you can enjoy the meal cooked by the owner himself. The hotel is situated not far from volcano’s crater, you’ll be impressed by stunning views. This is the place it would be pleasant to return to. Irina & Yulia

We stayed one night in the Poshada. The owner was really nice and cooked a great dinner for us. You cannot leave without trying the cold cucumber and gaspacho soups.

Poshada is very well located in the heart of the Canary mountains, optimal for the trekking activities. The people running this rural house are lovely, friendly and very helpful. All rooms are amazingly hand-made decorated, each with a view into the mountain valley which feels extremely positive. Most of the food is local and delicious. Stay at the Poshada rural house was amazing experience and we do not hesitate to recommend it.

Tranquilidad absoluta, en medio del campo. Ambiente muy acojedor y simpatico.Comida casera, riquisima y una variedad de vinos poco comunes, buenos y economicos. En total: nos ha gustado absolutamente todo... gracias Fermin y compañia; lo hemos pasado genial y seguro que volveremos...

Es ist auf eine angenehme Art abgelegen, sehr weit weg von allem anderen. Die Inhaber geben sich sehr viel Mühe, das Abendessen und das Frühstück sind fantastisch und sehr liebevoll zubereitet.

Absolutamente todo. El ambiente acogedor y el trato del personal hacen que nos sintamos en casa. Volveremos.

L' endroit est exceptionnel , l'accueil est chaleureux et la table propose une vraie cuisine gastronomique.

L'hotel n'est pas très chauffé et Il faudrait qu'il y est une pancarte indiquée el buho a la place de phosada rural.

prijs/kwaliteit te duur avondeten miniem, geen groenten+nog geen half glas wijn-kamers ruim maar onpraktisch voor wandelaars, kleren nergens verluchten -geen haardroger, voor ons was dit adres een verkeerde keuze

Mooie omgeving, budgetvriendelijk hotel met fijne gastheer.

geen uitzichten door mistig weer. Simpel ontbijt en avondeten, te weinig indien sportieve activiteit in de bergen.
