Convenient location (5 min walk from Plaza Espana), clean and comfortable room (double for single use), superb bathroom with soft towels, magnificent view of the Royal Palace from the window, helpful and smiling staff. Breakfast buffet could have been richer, and the breakfast hall looks a bit worn out. CNN is the only english TV channel. |

Very peacefull and well located, near to Plaza de España and Gran Via, the facilities are not great but reasonable. The hotel is a little old but it is clean and the price was good. |

Yes, they did not have my booking reservation through booking.com on-line, and I had to pay 10 Euros more than my reservation quote. (70 vs. 60 Euros) |

The only thing we liked about the Hotel Principe Pio was its location to the Plaza de Espana and Principe Pio Metro Stops, and its very friendly staff. This is a very old hotel that really needs to be updated. The carpet in our room was very filthy and the decor very old. Bedding was not changed in the four days we were there. Overall, the price we paid was excessive for the type of room we got. |

Very helpful staff. We needed to get a prescription for drugs we had forgotten and the hotel staff helped us sort this out. Very good location. To be able to watch more than CNN in English. |

Front desk staff superb, our room was very comfortable and within walking distance for everything, so we though it was perfrect! We asked for a king or queen bed, non smoking, and got twin beds, the smell of smoke lingered in the air, but I imagine there is not a lot you can do about that. Smell of cigarettes.... |

There is free Wi-Fi in common areas, and it actually worked, although the manual setup was uncommon. The location of the hotel in the city is good, right across the Royal Palace, and between two metro stations. The hotel could be refreshed a bit. |
