I asked for a non smoking room and it had the smoke smell .
Everything was perfect. Good location, very clean. Will definitely stay here again. The female desk clerks were very helpful and pleasant.
When we arrived, the night male desk clerk was not very pleasant, had an attitude.
Rooms recently refurbished.
Rooms a little small, btu I know this is not the case for all.
- Breakfast simple but good - The price is good - Good price for the offer
-Bed -Poor soundproofing between rooms
Everything..vert nice hotel
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location to get transport to all tourist sights. Easy to get to from madrid sant station and from this station to airport. Had a small fridge and close to a number of supermarkets which proved more economical for breakfast than hotel.Windows were good to open for fresh air. Clean room, bed ok and plenty of hot water.Would stay there again.
Room had 2 windows onto street which was pleasant to open but as we were on 1st floor traffic and street noise made it difficult to sleep without earplugs. Air conditioning not an option when sleeping as it was a bit noisy.
Clean, very pleasant helpful staff
Double room, was actually a small single room with a double bed. 'Window' looked out onto a brick wall about 1m away. Could be vey noisy at night depending on adjacent guests.
Location Staff cleanliness
We are a young couple who chose to spend their honeymoon in Barcelona and Costabrava. We have just returned from almost a week stay at Hotel Medium Prisma. We are very choosey when we search for the accommodations so we read lots of reviews before we settle for a hotel. We wanted a good location, close to the city centerand also a bus/metro station but in a quiet area. Hotel Medium Prisma is next to the road that connects Sants Estacio (Barcelona’s main railway station) to Diagonal Ave. and I expected noise from the street to be a problem but it really wasn't an issue for us. The location is great: next to a bus station, 10 min walk to the Train/Metro Sants station, where you can connect with the rest of the city, the Airport, Costa Brava, etc. Whatever direction you go, there is always something to do - supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants etc. The area is very quiet on a night time which is nice and fairly quiet during daytime. Noise was not an issue for us - some people are more sensitive to noise than others. Anyways we always carry ear plugs with us for precaution! We also noticed that the clientele was more family, adult citizens, not the groups of young (adults) that you see elsewhere in Barcelona. The hotel has a small restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet breakfast. I was surprised from the very beginning by miss Anna Rosell from the Departamento de Recepción who took time to write me a personal e-mail to confirm our reservation and requirements. It really showed personal involvement and dedication. Very much appreciated. We asked for early check-in and a quiet room at a higher floor and we got even more: a room at the end of the corridor, with one large double bed. We had an interior court view through the window but that was not an issue. The room was quite large, (newly refurbished) and modern, with air con, free wi-fi and comfy bed and pillows, flat - screen tv, mini fridge (which did not have to be rented at extra cost)...
Small elevator + the noise made by the maids when moving carriages arround at some hours. Due to the fact that the room was next to the elevator door and pit wall you could hear them and the guests when they were using the elevator. Minor inconvenient - it only happened one morning at a decent hour during our stay. Not loud enough to disturb you for real. :)
Staff are very helpful, and location is excellent as area is not too busy and chaotic. Ideal for those who like areas which are not very busy. Breakfast was also good, and very clean. I will recommend to other travelers and would go again!
Nothing negative to say about this hotel
Great stay in a good hotel
Breakfast was poor- limited choice and the same thing every day. No cooked breakfast either, Nearby cafés are a better option
Hotel and room very clean, staff was competent and friendly. Good value for money in high-season, although the room could have been bigger (13m2 is not really spacious, when 4m2 of that is the bathroom). Should take a double room next time instead (not a twin room). There are several cafés on the way to the next metro station where you can get breakfast if you want to save the 8 euros.
Everything other guests say about the elevator is true :-) WiFi didn't work in the room but we didn't need it, so we didn't ask to fix it.
The room was pretty good.
But the fact that the air conditioning was hardly working and the rude reception staff was a buzzkill.
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The service was excellent: attentive and responsive staff; nice and clean twin room, with all needed facilities; breakfast with good choice of dairy products and cereals, as well as newly baked pastry; bus stop very close to the hotel;
A bit far from the metro station, 10 -15 minutes walk, though it's not a problem when you're on a leisure trip.
The room is elegant, clean and well equipped. Matches the level of many **** hotels. The staff were very helpful and flexible. Free wi-fi is a nice extra. 10 minutes walk from the metro.
We could hear the traffic noise and sometimes our neighbors talking. But we were tired enogh not to be disturbed on this. The 9 EUR breakfast might be a bit expensive for some.
The room was clean. We especially liked the way the staff went out of their way to solve a booking problem that was actually my fault. It is a quiet neighbourhood, fairly close to a metro and bus station.
The window of my room had a view on a wall, which limited both the air and the light. The lift was teeeerribly slow!
The room was very clean. The shower was good.
My room was EXTREMELY small. The breakfast was very basic.
Overall, this was a good hotel.
staff friendly, helpful, good continental breakfast, wifi very good, everything perfect.
Only the shower was too tight, toilet and washand basin very close to each othe, no space to move around.
The price is ok. The room was clean and big but...
...I clearly booked a Double room, and when I got to the room I found a twin room! It wasn't my mistake of choosing 'Double or twin room', and when I questioned reception they replied they have no way in Booking.com to specify whether it's a real double bed or two single beds next to each other (which is BS)
The staff and the cleanliness
It is not a central location.
Foreign transmission cnn, bbc, rai, German and French tv. Bus stop across from hotel, about 15 minutes to city centre. Also great bakery next door and small supermarket. A good walk to Plaza Espanya, passing the gigantic Miro sculpture.
Friendly and helpful staff who helped with all sorts of information. Hotel location very close to bus stops.
The cost of breakfast - too high for someone like me who has very little for breakfast.
Excellent Location with bus stop right outside the hotel and Sants just a 15 min walk away. Friendly Staff who were helpful at all times. The rooms were small but quite comfortable. And the Wifi was pretty good. My friend and I stayed for 4 days and it was as comfortable as it could get. Really worth the money.
