Gran Hotel Puente Colgante    

Wehave stayed here four times now before getting ferry to Portsmouth. The location is superb right beside the transporter bridge on the river. Easy access straight along the road to the ferry. Rooms good, clean and spacious.

Proximity to ferry port, staff helpful. Pet friendly. Great view of the bridge from bedroom window. Would recommend to those wishing to catch the ferry in the morning.

Depressing and tired looking decor. Not suitable for disabled as access from street via stairs, lift from garage though. Wouldn't want to have stayed longer than 1 night.

Location to brittany ferries

we loved the town and where the hotel was situated, and so handy for the ferry, only 10mins away. The staff were very helpful. we would stay there again.

The breakfast was very good, with lots of fresh food. The staff was very obliging and accommodating. The room was very big and clean.

The room needs to be refurbished. There were not duvets.

The room was very decent, had a balcony and a superb view over the river/estuary and bridge.

There were two members of staff at reception when I arrived, one was on the phone (fair enough), the other completely ignored me until after a few minutes, I prompted her and asked what I needed to do about my illegally parked motorbike which I wanted to move into the hotel car park. This staff member made it very clear that she had more important things to do than help a newly arrived guest (there was no one else waiting at reception) and simply shrugged, pointed at her busy colleague (still on the phone) and muttered about a €15 parking fee. Which was incorrect - it was €6. Very rude. The other staff member when off the phone was extremely pleasant and helpful however.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and spoke several languages. We had a well appointed room facing the river, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spotless. It was also good to have secure parking.

We were a little disappointed in the set menu for dinner, although very reasonable at 20 euros including wine, the cooking was not so good.

The hotel was very convenient for the Bilbao Ferry the staff were very helpful

Found that food was rather expensive but there were local restaurants

The location was good for the Brittany Ferries terminal.

The staff do their job but there is no welcoming atmosphere or friendliness. We asked a waitress for a table for 2 for dinner. She looked annoyed to have been disturbed and then pointed to a table before walking off without saying anything. We did not have dinner in the hotel.

A very friendly hotel situated right on the river with excellent views. We were made welcome during our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

We were travelling back to uk and only there overnight, as with most hotels bed too hard and with Spanish hotels dinner served too late.

The staff, very good price, close to the river with an excellent view.

The Hotel was situated on the Promenade with excellent view of the worlds oldest Transporter Bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it is fairly convenient for the Brittany Ferry port back to the uk.

It was a little difficult to find as the Main entrance is on the Pedestrian Promenade. Fortunately a local Police woman showed us where the Garage entrance was and allowed us to park on yellow line while we booked in

Someone in the bedroom before us had smoked despite this being illegal in Spain and the room stank.

The Grand Hotel Puente Colgante, is very warm and friendly, our view from our room was really good, also some of the staff speak English if needed.

The Hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly.It is in a nice location by the river with a promenade and bars and restaurants quite close.

It was difficult to find and the streets were full of cars with no road parking.

Firstly,Mr.Cruz made the booking for us from Spain - our name is alford We have stayed at the hotel many times before and have been pleased with everything. We like the hotel's location, making it a pleasant overight stay before catching the morning ferry back to England.

Its location

Getting in through the speaker system difficult and from the underground garage worse. No signs on road to tell you where it is and thank god for a helpful traffic warden

We chose this hotel because it was convenient for the ferry, it far outstripped our expectation. The staff are great, the room we had overlooking the river was lovely, the dinner menu excellent and resonably priced, and the breakfast good. We shall use it again when we travel back and will stay longer to explore Bilbao.

Tricky to find due to road layout, but satnav got us to the right area, and staff told us where to find the garage, garage 15 euros a day, but there dosnt look to be any or much on street parking,

The location was great and the room was comfortable with a lovely view. Breakfast was a bit expensive but we were able to have coffee and croissants in the bar. The hotel has a terrace with a view over the river.

The hotel was very hard to find!

The Food. Don't miss the lemon mousse.

Inadequate Drapes letting the sun in, Tube Pillows which not my favorite. Thats it.
