Stuff did not speak English at all. Gps coordinates on booking.com site are wrong (as of 2.5.2013). They refused to take credit card as a payment method specified on booking details. We had to pay with cash.

Location, Calm, clean, family owened business, Mr Dino Ferrarri great guy. Superb basic breakfast.

Bed sheets and towels needs to be changed every day, not every 2 days.

The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. It was centrally located for the activities we wanted to do.

The walls are a bit thin, so noises from other rooms are loud. That said it was Carnaval, so I am sure every hotel was a bit loud.

The hotel is on a busy road leading to Puerto de Santa Maria. Staff was very friendly and spoke good English. The room was large with good beds, a small desk, small TV and a nice clean bathroom. The TV had a limited selection of Spanish channels. Free Wifi internet was dead slow so I could hardly use that. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. Strange was that the hotel advertises everywhere that breakfast is not included in the room price and that there are a number of options. I choose the breakfast buffet option for € 10,- but was not charged for this. Maybe this was because of the slow winter season. The hotel lies in a desolate area and with the noise I would think you might have better luck in the village.

Unfortunately there was a lot of noise (loud talking, doors slamming) from the bar until deep in the night (04:00 am !) and the noise started again early in the morning (00:06 am) so I did not get much sleep. Next door is a hotel that looks like some gambling place (or even brothel) so the noisy customers may be the spill over from there.

I think this hotel is 3 star plus, not 2 stars. The owner Dino is very friendly. Interior design is very nice.

Great location, 5 min drive from Jerez, 15 min drive from Cadiz, very quite and Parking available for free 24hrs.

A little fridge would be a plus in the rooms, room carpet needs to be cleaned. Towels needs to be more clean, as they are changed every 2 days. The shower switch only gives you hot water.

Very friendly, helpfull, presentable, and hard working staff (I.E. Dino who welcomed us the first night). Clean room and bathroom. Private and free parking lot. We stayed for three nights and drove back and forth to Cadíz. Great way to safe money!

We knew that breakfast wasn't going to be great. So no surprises there. Serving a breakfast with fresh products (I.E. Cheese, ham, tomato's, fresh juice) would really add value to your stay.

It is a very comfortable place to stay. Staff personnel was really friendly and easygoing. Rooms were nice and clean. The single drawback we found is that it is located a bit far away from city center. However taxis are affordable (5 eur) and there also are buses running. Definively I will stay at Puerta de Algadir again. Gracias Lydia!

IT is not a 2 star hotel.In my opinion is at least a 3 star hotel with big rooms and wide bathroom.Is situated between 2 beautiful cities, Cadiz and Jerez, near aqua park. Clean with a very friendly staff.I am highly recommended due to its position and cozy rooms.

Friendly & very helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Easy parking. Good for a quick stop, or if you have a car.

Not good good if you are a visitor/tourist to El Puerto, as you have to take a taxi to get into the town. If you need an evening meal, you have to tell them before 17:30

Not sure about criteria in star ratings but this hotel deserves at least 3 stars. The young receptionist's command of English was at lower-intermediate (which is a far cry from zilch English in other establishments in Spain), the public areas were calm and inviting and the room large with beautiful dark timber furnishings. Very comfortable indeed. The bathroom was fitted out with everything imaginable including a shower with spa jets.

The only thing which lets this hotel down is that it is a good way into town with very little around it. Hence the lower star rating, I guess.

El Hotel es bonito, limpio, tranquilo, esta bien decorada. Sobre todo es la traquilidad que tiene. The rooms are very prety, clean, lovely decoration, silent place.

Trato cordial, fácil acceso y ubicación a la hora de querer desplazarse a cualquier punto de la costa gaditana (en coche). Sobretodo económico, para dormir está muy bien unos cuantos dias.

Se debe avisar antes de las 11 si quieres comer o cenar. No se cambiaron las sabanas durante la estancia de 4 dias, y las toallas eran tan suaves como una lija. No se puede ir andando a la playa.
