There was a smell of bleach.
The hotel is right in the city centre, the room is very nice, spacious, clean and so is the bathroom. Free wi-fi.
The bed is the most unconfortable bed i've ever "sleep" in. I say "sleep" because I actually didn't sleep at all
Puerta de Sevilla is classed as a one-star hotel, but you get a 3-star experience for the price of one in this delightful place. The hotel is bright, spotless and attractive, filled with the kind of charming touches that give a place character, like the tiled fountain in the lobby and the display case full of fans. My room was equally pleasant, with pretty wallpaper, cute furniture, a comfortable bed, and a roomy bathroom bordered in colourful tiles. And because the room overlooked the inner courtyard, I didn't get any of the noise from the street. The hotel is also very well located at the edge of barrio Santa Cruz, just a few minutes' walk from both the Alcazar and the cathedral. And right across the road from Villar heladeria, home of the best ice cream I've had in Spain! Finally, top marks to manager Mariano and his staff, who were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, and who clearly care about giving their guests a good experience. I would happily stay at Puerta de Sevilla again and will certainly recommend it to anyone I know who is going to Seville.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, being within walking distance of all the major sites. There are very good bars and restaurants nearby. We stayed at the hottest time of the year and the room was a cool haven after a long hot day.
Location was good, very close to many of the old town sights. Very reasonable price. Lovely old style rooms.
I stayed here twice during my trip to Spain. The first stay with a double room on the first floor was good but on my return visit (for one night before I flew out) I had a single room on the third floor. It was too hot and noisy, and there were ants streaming in the window onto the bed. I would stay here again, but not in the third floor room. The shower in this room was absolutely tiny, I've never come across one so small! I genuinely don't see how a big man would fit in. I'm quite short and as it was, the tap handle was sticking into my back as I showered, and you couldn't bend down to pick up shampoo etc as there wasn't room.
Comfort, cleanliness, service, friendly staff, excellent location
Room a bit tiny
Location, cleanliness and comfort
building work opposite starting at 7am
Location, location, location (and surprisingly low price for it).
Dark small room, noise from other guests in atrium.
Mymy! Let me think think think
Where do i start....Room old not like your site balcony door did not close, we could hear cars like if we slept in the streets, smell in room, toilet blocking shower full of mildew entrance....and so on. Breakfast served in a restaurant nearby and ice not available in hotel, poor wifi no fridge in room or room service. Not worth what we paid seriously
Extremely noisy, especially on Saturday night. It seems that you sleep on the street
excellent price for value, great terace, excellent location, sound was not disturbing during the night although many restaurants are in the street.
We had a little balcony which I just loved. The room was smalish but very clean and had everything we needed including character. Fantasic location full of life but not noisy in old part of city. I dream about being able to return.
Staff, location. They left a small bottle of cava in our room because we went there for our honeymoon.
The rules of the hotel. When we check -in, they gave us a long list of rules. We can't take room key with us to out of the hotel, eveytime we came back we waited for the desk clerk to give us our key. In adition you have to pay deposit for using the safe (20 euro),, etc. etc. it is not kind to bore the visiters with lots of rules.
The bed is too hard, the sheet is too thin
Friendly, helpful staff, and a great location. This hotel was quiet and comfortable and we liked the rooftop terrace and private parking.
Cleanliness, Comfort, charm and location.
An excellent location in a gorgeous city. Hotel lobby was lovely, staff were very friendly. Fabulous atmosphere! Would gladly stay here again. Close to so much -- basically walking distance to everywhere. Five minute taxi from train station. We loved Hotel Puerta de Sevilla! Doors opened in the room to let in the fresh Spanish air -- so great!!
Rooms were a bit small (but charming), beds were lumpy and short (but who wants to sleep away the day?), and people wanting a quiet night's sleep might be frustrated with late night gatherings below (but we loved this).
Reception staff was exceptional-friendly, good advice, willing to accommodate, responsive.
Lovely establishment, special thanks to Mouna Mariano after the stupid ATM swallowed my card, she was a great help.
Every thing was excellent
Good location, just at the top of the old part of town. Good value for money at a busy time for Seville, and friendly check-in with a shot of fino! Rooftop terrace great for chilling, no one used it whilst we stayed. You won't be staying in your room whilst in Seville, so perfect as a base.
Room was verging on the small side, but not a big deal. Decor also slightly on the chintzy side, but quite charming!
Location , inner courtyard, friendly staff
No aspects of our stay were disappointing
Perfect location for sightseeing
A bit noisy in the morning
The location was very good, as within walking distance of most of the sights.
No bar or restaurant facilities. Was a bit noisy at night time as close to main street.
The location is great for getting around the Santa Cruz area or visiting the rest of the city. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!
The WiFi is limited for some in the rooms, but just fine in the lobby.
Best position in Sevilla, small but clean rooms, very helpful staff.
Rooms are quite small but, in the end, you are in the very center of Siviglia and the quality for price is also an high one!
