Wifi ,AC,Bathroom, breakfast, bed, staff i don't know u name it every thing about this hotel is perfect .....
it is soo god make change your mind about the rest of the hotels
The view over plaza sol was the only good thing about this place
- We hated the bed - it was tiny, you could feel the steel in your backbone and there was practically no pillows. We sleped very poorly for 4 days. - You could only get one key, which made it impossible for us to do anything separately and really made us imobile. We asked to get another key, but this was not possible. - the shower worked very poorly and made the whole floor very wet.
We stayed in room 1 with private bathroom. More than enought space, slept like a baby. No noise from outside or inside at night. Breakfast small but were good and enough. Very well located, we walked every were no problem. All bus routes pass right infront and stop a few meters away.
The only thing that were a disappointment is the private bathroom. Very very small. No bath, witch is not the biggest problem. The shower is too small and have plastic curtains, sticks to every thing. There is wasted space that can be used to make it bigger. With a small change it can be much better. This is my only bad point.
Very good location in the very centre of Madrit, near Metro. Nice old building, renovated with lift. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast normal, you can eat a lot if you want.
-location is central, next to public transport and middle in the city. -old building, lot of character
-matras was awful. I have never seen anything like this. I recommend sleeping on the floor. I got pain in the back after 3 days. decided to leave immediately. Slept 1 night in the Savoy and backpain was gone. -street is noisy. -breakfast has to little choice. -senior staff is not available in the morning hours.
Excellent location the staff was very accommodating and the auto with very friendly and his sister as well always willing to help I recommend a place
A wonderful place, in the heart of Madrid, with a kind and helpful staff. The Puerta del Sol is a lively and noisy place, so if you are looking for a peaceful lodgement to rest, this could be not your best choice, but if you want to enjoy Madrid's life from a privileged vantage point, don't hesitate, this is your hotel.
Perfect location. Helpfull staff.
Very thin walls and doors so it has been noisy at night. Needs some refreshment. Not very clean. Bed was ok but walls really needs at least new paint.
The hostal is perfectly located, in the city center and near of almost every important points to visit in Madrid. Is it possible to go everywhere by foot and metro also (there is one station in front of the hostal). All the staff were nice, the breakfast had enough food, and I found the bathroom always cleaned. The room had towels, the hostal has housekeeping everyday, and it was also possible to let my suitcase inside the hostal after check-out. Good wi-fi.
Noise between rooms (I heard a man snoring) and I took shower with cold water some days.
The location was excellent! Breakfast was ok (bread, marmelade, coffee) and the room was nice. Luckily there was the heating - during the nights it got quite cold in the room.
The guy at the reception didn't really talk English. All the other times when we passed by the reception no one was there and the reception area was totally empty, the only person we found to ask help was the cleaning lady. The temperature in the bathroom was very cold.
Location and having a balcony
The bed was absolutely awful. Extremely uncomfortable. The shower flooded the shared bathroom every time someone used it. And the ratio of bathroom facilities to people using them was way too low. Wouldn't stay here again despite the location and cost.
The location is the best chioce. And the stuff were very helpful and nice.
no fuss accommodation in the heart of the city for a great price, nothing stunning but does the job
Right in front of the Sol, and many shops, restaurants, bars are within a few minutes walk distance. Best location. Just open your window, and you can enjoy the view of Sol. Room has enough capacity. Good price. People in this hostel are all nice.
Noisy in the night, even around 0AM. I could not sleep without earplug. Breakfast.. but we cannot complain about this because of its price. During the daytime and early in the morning, we cannot use shower; maybe water boiler is switched on only in the evening and morning.
Excellent location Sufficient, clean room Cleaning daily
Poor WiFi Simple (but fair) breakfast
The location was perfect. Right next to El Oso and the Puerta Del Sol. A 2 minute to walk to Hemingway's old haunts and the Gran Via. It was relatively clean and our view was absolutely incredible.
Breakfast was basic, but filled you up and got you ready for a great day in the best city in the world!
Central location +++ Tidyness and cleanliness of the room and bathroom Excellent wifi connection
Quite poor breakfast
Nice place in a perfect location
Great location in the city center. Our room was clean, quiet and had AC, so we don't have any complains on that. Breakfast was good. Nice staff.
Clean and fresh bathrooms but the pipes were noisy.
It was nich to stay there
Couldn't be much better, that was my first time in a hostel, but honestly I didn't feel any problem with it, the room was just fine (twin roon with shared bathroom). The location is perfect in Puerta del Sol in the heart of Madrid. The best value for money you could ever get. The breakfast is basic includes cheese, turkey, butter, jam, orange juice & coffee/tea with cup cakes. Just fits the purpose.
It was a little bit difficult to find the exact location of the Hostel at the begining, we had to ask couple of persons first.
- Perfect location to discover Madrid. You can reach everything on foot. - Rooms are very simple, but sufficient, if you do not intend to spend a lot of time in it. - Bathroom was OK - everything was clean
- Puerta del Sol is a busy place also at night, so it is a bit loud (not really a problem for me). - Breakfast is simple, but OK. We decided to use the ample opportunities outside to have a nice and not too expensive breakfast
