Excellent location - 50m from the beach. 10 mins walk from the old town. Hotel itself - good room, very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

The room was excellent. The staff and the location too. The price was very good for a true 4 stars. I definately come back and try other Montes Hotel, I have heard that the new one in Malaga it is also "tops"

Nice clean spacious comfortable room and bathroom. Would reccomend !

We stayed in a very comfortable, recently refurbished room. Everything was of a high standard. A bit of a walk to the old town but quite manageable and we didn't find this a problem. Close to the sea which was nice for early morning and late evening strolls.

Lighting! As with so many refurbished hotels this one had gone for 'mood' lighting. Give us proper lights! It was particularly bad in the bathroom and for those of us who need to put a bit of 'slap' on before we face the world it was almost impossible to see.

Air con in room was inadequate

Large, spacious room. Good location; close enough to walk into the old town/port but far enough away to avoid all the crowds.

Internet was unrelieable. Breakfast was a joke; there was never enough food put out and they were continually running out of food, silverware and dishes. Servers did not keep an eye of things. Also one waiter continually handled all of the silverware by the eating end with his bare hands, rather than by the handles when setting the table.

Helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Rooms are small but adequate.

A bit expensive for off-season;

I liked handing my car keys to someone and having it parked for me. I liked having my car windscreen cleaned whilst it was parked. I liked being telephoned and asked if there was anything they could do to make my stay better. I liked the little things that made our stay pleasant. The rest is what you would expect from a hotel at this price.

Welcoming and efficient staff. Large comfortable room. Great shower and an enormous, comfortable bed. Quiet and relaxing. The restaurant also does the best burger in Cadiz!
