Hotel La Catedral is set in Cádiz’s charming Old Town, right next to Cádiz Cathedral. Its rooftop terrace has a small outdoor pool with jets and amazing views of the cathedral and the Atlantic Ocean.
Score from 808 reviews Very good
Set overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this modern hotel is on Playa de la Victoria Beach, 2 miles from central Cádiz. It has a large outdoor pool, a terrace with ocean views, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 847 reviews Very good
Hotel Boutique Convento Cádiz is a 17th-century convent in the centre of Cádiz and just 25 metres from the Palacio de Congresos Conference Centre. It has a charming interior courtyard.

Score from 917 reviews Good
Location and friendliness of all the staff and the comfortable clean rooms.
The receptionist was particularly helpful when we arrived later that we had hoped and went out of his way to ensure that everything went smoothly for us. The hotel had all that you could reasonably expect for its star rating. Our room was at the back and was very quiet (not sure what the ones facing the street would be like).
The garage, although spacious, did not have clear instructions about the procedures for getting in and out - all a bit frustrating.
The location to the beach is great. The room was clean, large and comfortable. They have choices for pillows by your preference. Parking onsite is nice.
Location to center isn't that convenient if that's what you are looking for but I recommend walking along the beach to get to the center of the city.
wifi did not work at all, receptionist English was not good (could not explain which parking lots belong to hotel, why wifi is not working)
Front desk staff very helpful. Free unlimited WIFI, comfortable beds, good location for access to old city centre. Car parking available if booked in advance which is vital as there is limited street parking in this area.
This is not a sea front hotel, the photo and google map is a little confusing in this respect. Buffet breakfast included, do not recommend the cooked options as it was inevitably undercooked and cold! Hotel bar had limited opening times, not expected at a 4* hotel.
Comfort of room...temperature in winter was great.
View of ugly tennis courts.
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. I asked for a kettle to make tea and it appeared together with tea and milk almost immediately. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and everything was fresh. Also, parking at the hotel was so convenient. All in all a most enjoyable visit.
Friendly and helpful staff especially Susana on front desk. Very good location close to the old town and promenade for winter walking
Decor is just a little tired even for a Spanish 4 star hotel
The location is good - about a 10-15 minute walk form the Old Town. The staff were exceptional - friendly, attentive, knoweledgable. Parking facilities good.
The food in the restuarant was moderate to say the least.
This hotel is situated on the main avenue of Cadiz, just about a 10 minute walk to the old centre of Cadiz. The staff were very nice and friendly when we arrived here, suggesting areas for us to park for free if we did not want to use their parking. There were two parties in our group, one which park on the road and the other that parked in the hotel parking. The car that was parked in the hotel parking had been cleaned on the outside by hotel staff. Very nice touch. The hotel staff even gave us a take-away leaflet to call in for some food should we need it, which we did. They even supplied us with cutlery to enjoy our food. The rooms were huge rooms, some of the biggest that I have ever stayed in. They were very roomy with large comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. The room temperature was also at a perfect temperature, neither too hot or too cold. And the shower was the best that I have used in a very long time. It was difficult to get me out of it. It was a great room.
There is not much wrong with this hotel, but like all hotels on the European continent, they don't supply tea-making facilities in the room, which is a pity as we love to start our day with a few cups of Irish tea. Roadside parking near the hotel can be a bit difficult to find, but we did manage it just across the road from the nearby police station.
The room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Short walk to the beach. Parking facilities were good, too.
Very friendly staff & very helpful. Great location to walk to the old historic town.A fabulous buffet display. The beautiful 4km sandy beach is only 200m away.Would definitely go back to this hotel,
Location Great value for money
Good location within walking distance from beach Well equipped clean room Modern bathroom Very helpful staff Basement parking with elevator to room Limited choice, but good quality food
Rather sparse restaurant
We were greeted courteously by reception staff. Helpful with car parking. Breakfast buffet was good and freely available. Reasonable walk to the old town easily accomplished by my 70 year old brother. Taxi rank outside. Taxi €5.00 from the old town
Nothing to find fault with
1. Friendly personal 2. Modern Bathroom 3. Wifi speed 4. Breakfast
1. Qaulity of room service food was poor
A good choice at breakfast, except for the cereals, no proper cornflakes.
The evening menu has a weird choice of dishes, and quality is not good. Better to eat outside.
Very good quality hotel and friendly staff
Friendliness and helpfulness of the Reception Staff and own car parking with easy access.
the size of the room and the bed
having to pay for breakfast
they gave us a room in the recently renovated area. it was very spacious, good furniture, big bed and very comfortable. hotel staff also made us a nice surprise: while our car was in the parking, they cleaned the windshield for us - we considered it a very nice detail.
bathroom door doesn't offer much privacy, given it's made of glass and doesn't cover the entire space, but room is quite big so it wasn't such a big issue. location - it's not very close to the old part of the city, but you could always walk close to the beach and enjoy the sea view till you reach the cathedral.
Location was great, in between the "Casco Antiguo" (old city) and newer part of Cádiz, a few blocks from the "Puerta de la Tierra" and a block from the beach. Staff was attentive and great. They even surprisingly, free of charge, washed the windows of my car in the garage without asking (which was desperately needed after a killing so many bugs on the drive into Cádiz). The staff was great and the restaurant had a great menu as well.
No complaints at all!
Location by beach. Walking distance to everything. Large rooms. Big clean bathroom. Excellent service. Exceptional hosts.
Nice room Hugh bed great to walk everywhere. Lovely sandy beach. Helpful staff
Breakfast area was in the basement which could have had a view.
This was our 2nd visit to the Peurtatierra, which I suppose says it all. Its fantastic value. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. It has a fantastic position, perfect for the beach and in strolling distance of Cadiz's beautiful old city. The underground car park is a real bonus.
a bit of a busy main road at the front of the Hotel, but no problem, ask for a quiet room at the back!
