The location to the old town, biosfera shopping centre and the beach is excellent. Eventhough the complex is old the rooms are very clean and fresh. The pool, which is lovely, has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We booked a studio room and were given a 1 bedroom apartment and the sea view we requested. The beds in the bedroom are extremely uncomfortable. We had read the reviews before we went and still felt they would be ok!. The mattresses are lumpy, the beds creak and it is next to impossible to get a good nights sleep.

I loved the location of our apartment, we had a 2 bed apt so it was basically a house overlooking the sea. Sitting room and kitchen upstairs with the 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms downstairs. We were 2 minutes walk to a lovely small beach and also the main beach. It was also only 2 minutes to the old town shopping centre/ harbour area/ bars/ restaurants. It was the perfect location. The kitchen was also lovely, seemed to have been new enough and modern so was good for cooking. I didn't feel the bathrooms were that clean but in saying that I didn't see a single ant or cockroach which i was delighted with. The sitting room couch cover could have been cleaned as well (a sofa bed), I did not want to know what the stains were! Also, there was no kettle, you had to rent one which is not great for us Irish :-)

Cleanliness excellent everday cleaning service. Good location central. Corridor's would be apprehensive if a woman staying alone. Location is excellent but I would be concerned about noise level in high season.

Before to go in holiday, I was afraid that we'll find hard bed as we read before, but when we arrived, we didn't have any problem with that. I realy don't know why the people said this. Also, we receive a room with sea view as we asked, the cleaning staff were excellent and the towel were changed very frequent. The connection to the internet was poor, but we succeded to connect from the reception. So from my point of view the hotel is excelent regarding ratio quality / price and we have nothing to reproach.

The location was good. We had to rent the remote control for the TV. There were ants around the apartment, not many but they were present. the pool area was not cleaned up in the evening time and again you had to rent the sun lounger cushions. As well as the a fan for your room. The beds were also very uncomfortable.

Location one of the main attractions as it is situated between the New Town and the Old Town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pool and Pool area very good. Views very good. Food very good breakfast etc. prices very reasonable. Service very good and great value for money. They also provide a Courtesy Room on day of departure to freshen up or change before leaving, a facility that a great many apartments and hotels from experience do not provide. This is our third stay at the Costa Volcan and will definitely be returning next year.

My husband & i stayed at the aparthotel costa volcan&spa from march 24th until april 7th everything was perfect about the place for people of our age the location was ideal it might help people to tell them that when you come out first and turn leftfyou will see alot of steps and was rather daunting but turn right and you will a short ramp that will take you right into the town. The place was very clean and and you had everything you wanted in the appartment. We had a lovely pool and seaview and no noise by night.Unfortunately my husband got sick while we were on the holiday and we needed a doctor and the reception staff were so helpful and caring to us getting us to a clinic and explaining to the taxi driver where to take us.The household staff and cafe were also very courteous and friendly. On the day of departure there was courtesy rooms available which took alot of pressure off us.Value for money was terrific. While described as basic to us they were fabolous and i would recommend to anyone.A big thank you to everyone and hopefully we will be seeing ye all again in the not too distant future Mary & Oliver Cork,Ireland.

Located in the old town close to bars and restaurants, also within walking distance of beach, and new town bars and nightclubs without being too close to them. Apartment complex with hotel facilities games room for teenagers, internet , bar, restaurant and guests were allowed to use the hotels washing machine in the evening and there was a 24 hour reception. Staff were very polite and helpful, represents good value budget accommodation, breakfast was also included in our rate. Apartments are a little dated and old fashoned could do with a refurbishment however this is reflected in the rate.

I liked the hotel very much . I thought the cleaning staff were excellent and the towel/linen changes very frequent. The apartment was bright and spacious. On three nights at least we were woken at three/four am by drunken guests shouting and banging doors. I felt that the security staff were useless and did not show the same commitment as the cleaning staff. There was no monitoring of late night drunken guests and no consideration shown for those who wished to sleep. When I rang security at 3.30am regarding a shouting guest he called to my room 10 minutes later and I had to get out of bed to explain myself even though the commotion was over!

Staff were excellent, especially Svenja on reception and Martha on rooms! For the price the Costa Volcan is worth every cent. Not a five star but don't expect what you're not willing to pay for!! Rooms in need of some slight attention, but service and location made that very easy to overlook!
