Bungalows Las Gaviotas  

Alue 8 oli rauhallinen, huoneestamme oli mukava näköala merelle, huoneiston sijainti oli muutenkin hyvä ottaen huomioon lasten kanssa liikkumisen ja autolle sai helposti parkkipaikan läheltä, tilaa oli tarpeeksi vaikka meitä oli 4 henkilöä yhden makuuhuoneen huoneistossa, huoneisto oli siisti.

Kissat alueen 8 allasbaarissa vähän häiritsi, koska jotkut kävivät niitä ruokkimassa illalla siellä baarin mentyä kiinni niin luulivat päivisinkin saavan kaikilta ruokaa, jotka siellä olivat.

Merenranta oli ihanan lähellä. Pyyhkeet vaihdettiin usein. Lämmitetty uima-allas oli plussaa. Astiat ja keittiön välineet olivat OK. Lapset viihtyivät ja rakastivat omaa terassia.

Saimme huoneen ehkä sijainniltaan huonoimmasta rakennuksesta. Meillä on 2 pientä lasta, mutta emme silti saaneet huonetta sellaisesta rakennuksesta, jonka pihalla olisi ollut lastenallas. Uima-allas oli kyllä lämmin, mutta vesi oli suolaista. Huoneistomme oli jonkin verran epäsiisti. Luvattu internet-yhteys ei toiminut huoneessa, terassilla ja altaalla kylläkin.

The Bungalows are very spacious and have everything you need - there was even unopened fairy liquid and a scourer and tea towel- I know not very exciting but there is everything you need- microwave, toaster, all plates and cutlery, saucepans, a fridge with freezer and even a washing line with pegs! The bungalows are in a cluster of 8 each with its own pool all are near to the reception and have their own pool. All are with easy walking or 'pushing' distance of the beach walkway, shops and restaurants. Matajorda is quiet but it is easy to walk, get a taxi to other parts- suggest the tapas bar in the old harbour. The bungalows are tired but very clean and very comfortable, the staff are excellent. Would happily reccommend.

Proximity to the beach & shopping centre

1. The fact that the air-conditioning switched off every hour (during a very warm spell) which meant that we had very broken sleep at night. 2. Every time we took a shower the water went all over the bathroom

We were delighted with the Las Gaviotas bungalow - we stayed in block 7, number 4, and there were 4 other bungalows in our block and we had great privacy and enjoyed our stay immensely.

We were disappointed with the lack of heat in the pool, other than that all great.

It was very affordable, there was a good size fridge. Our apartment was next to the heated swimming pool which was very convenient. Short walk to the beach and shopping center. Quiet, with no sounds of traffic.

The cooking facilities were very basic for a family, with no oven. Towels should be changed more frequently, especially for a family. The TV stations on offer were very poor and not worth the charge of 4 euro per day, there were no English speaking children's channels available. The food at the pool bar was not good. I was overcharged on several occasions also, some staff charged for childrens soft drinks and ice cream and others didn't.

Location to beach,privacy of each unit

Poor description of superior unit to that allocated,free wi fi advertised but unable to receive signal in majority of areas,tv only showing English channels in mono, no room allocated for showering/ changing on day of departure when having a late flight.

Close to Beach and Centre, friendly staff, clean. Very good for 2 star.

Bungalow could do with some repair work as some item I.E. doors locks, shower, ect. Getting a bit worn and sticky. Wi Fi not working for most of stay, but repaired quickly when complained.

It was quite and bungalows where very private

Great location, stayed in Block 7, nice pool. 5 minute walk to restuarant and beach. Lots of families and some couples. Staff friendly and helpful, straight down to apartment if any problems. Great value for money, would definitely stay again. Cleaner around 5 days a week, sheets and towels changed twice a week. Basic accomodation, but for what you pay you wouldn't expect luxury. We'll be back

Didn't like the food in the restaurant. We prepaid for 14 days breakfasts and it was a complete waste of money. Irish and English will struggle as the breakfasts are catering specifically for continental visitors. Bacon was the fatty stripped sort that was covered in grease, boiled eggs that were green as they were sitting for so long. Sausages cooked in a funny red suace. Plenty of processed cold meats, tomatoes and bowls of cusdtardy goo. The bread was nice. Don't waste your money on this as in the centre you can get your choice of cheap and edible breakfasts.

It's great place, great location and excellent value for money.And I have already told all my friends. I will go back definitely.

Excellent value for money. Good base for exploring the island with a car. Hotel staff was excellent and always willing to help. Wi-Fi set-up near pool, so book a poolside bungalow if you need to work in room. Did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on food.
