The location of this hotel is phenomenal - both in terms of it being right on the beach and it being close to the old village of Puerto Carmen. Just about a 5 minute walk from the hotel is the Biosfere shopping centre where there's a Spar, a Mango, a McDonalds and lots of other shops. It's from there that I caught a bus to Arrecife and Teguise. Also, it's close to the scenic coastal walk route to Puerto Calero. As a solo traveller, I had an excellent time there. I also liked the mix of different nationalities, mostly Spanish, German and English. The breakfast buffet is wonderful.

I liked the way the pool area was laid out. and the wonderful landscaped terraces with the array of lovely tropical plants added great variety and interest I also found having the little private beaches a great feature also. The hotel itself is very comfortable the bar and dining area is especially fine, the only thing I think should be done is that the rooms could be refurbished as they are a little shabby and worn out in places.

Its location on the edge of the beach is excellent and allows for early morning walking and exercise. Its breakfast facilities are very good and the food is superb. Its difficult to access the poolside unless you grap the loungers very early in the morning and of course many of the loungers are not occupied for long parts of the day but are reserved - this is not a complaint as such but could be managed better.

Hotel Los Fariones is an establishment that is reliable, safe, clean, convenient and rather old fashioned in its design and make up. You can be guaranteed peace and quietness at night but close to old town and new town if activities needed. The facade is rather grotty and the inside could certainly do with a massive makeover.

The staff were top class and so friendly. Location was excellent. Very Very clean. 1. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms and it does get very hot at night. 2. They don't have enough chairs around the pool so unless you are up early in the morning to book your chair you have nothing for the day. And they don't take very kindly to booking the chairs in the morning. However this would not have to be done if they provided enough.

Fantastic Location. Reception staff very friendly, even when dealing with some very rude guests. Very nice breakfast. Huge choice. Hotel is old world and does need updating, but the grounds, terraces and location more than make up for this. After all you not on holiday to sit in your room. Needs updating. Otherwise excellent.

The hotel is convenient to the airport. The reception staff are largely abrupt and not very pleasant! A smile doesn't cost much.

Was a really great holiday, one of the best. Only Plea to other guests - dont reserve the sun seats! When your going down to sit out then take them. So frustrating to go down and find just one or two seats not taken and all umbrellas taken though not all occupied till some time later.

Very relaxing hotel - rooms are a bit dated but very well maintained and each has a sea view and balcony which was lovely and very good value. Lack of aircon did not bother me but I was in a room on my own and was staying in Autumn - with two people it could get a bit too hot - especially as the double beds are fairly small. Right on its own strip of beach and has two pools which were warm in Sept. Definitely for an older crowd - not for families with young kids/people looking for nightlife as it is very quiet. Perfect for a quiet relaxing week in the sun. Staff were very pleasant if a bit reserved. Breakfast was good. Ate lunch there a few times and it was decent - nice place to sit and handy not to have to trek out of the hotel. No idea what dinner was like as didn't eat there in the evenings. Highly recommend.

It's location near the beach is great and the hotel facilities are first class. The majority of Staff were very good to deal. Our suite was top class and the beds were very comfortable. Better management needs to be put in place for the sun loungers as people put their towels on them even though they do not use them. It should be a first come first served basis. People should not expect to use them, go away for a couple of hours, and be able to come back to the same spot when others need the use of same.

Loved the location of the hotel, it's near both old and new towns' also loved the pool area and general layout of the gardens, fab! Think in this day and age air-conditioning should be standard in a 4star hotel, however I was able to leave the sliding door poen at night wkilst closing the sliding shutters thus creating a breeze through the room thought the lunch menu was a bit basic

I am a widow for the last five years, and feel very safe and secure while staying at Los Fariones. I really do not need to leave the hotel at all if I choose to as everything I need is there, staff so friendly, even when I pester them for water or milk for my room. Thinking hard ,but can not think of anything I dislike about this hotel. Meals excellent, and shops near by. &Quot; The full package"

The views were fantastic from the rooms was fantastic, room was cleaned every morning. Would I go back to the hotel. Yes. It is old in style, rooms included. It is a costly hotel for food and drink. Would be nice if the rooms had a fridge. Facilities is the hotel are not great. You have to go to other buildings within the group to enjoy them and information about the goings on in the hotel was not great

We stayed in Los Fariones for 9 days and wished we could have stayed for longer. It was beautiful and we left there feeling very relaxed. It's nice and quiet there and is perfect for a quiet holiday away, with the option of plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Having to get up early every morning to put towels on sunbeds around by the pool! You snooze....you lose!

Fantastic seafront location with its own swimming pool and a few steps down to a lovely sandy beach. View from the balcony of our rooms was spectacular - an uninterrupted view of palm trees and the sea. Food at the hotel was spectacular, best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel and the evening buffet is definitely worth a try for the amazing range of choices. Overall, an excellent relaxing break in lovely surroundings. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Excellent breakfast. Perfect location; very close to restaurants, shops, and bars. The hotel has its own private beach and it also provides access to the main beach in Puerto del Carmen. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and with a gorgeous view to the beach. I was part of a group of 4 families and everyone in the group really enjoyed the hotel. When I return to Lanzarote, Los Fariones Hotel will be my first choice. The furniture and decoration is a little dated, but it really doesn't matter because the service, location, and facilities are excellent.

This is a great hotel. The view from our balcony was amazing. The private beach was very nice. Several people have complained about the rooms being outdated. I felt that the room was very nice. I guess they could update the beds, but I really enjoyed the feel of the room. It was a great island feel. The staff were amazing. They booked our rental at on site for us and even provided a continental breakfast at 0400 for us because our group had to leave for our flight at 0500. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Los Fariones is in an ideal location, right on the beach, with the constant relaxing sound of breaking waves on the shore. It is a real haven of peace inside while still being in a convenient position to easily access the rest of the island. It is a slightly old fashioned comfortable hotel.

Location, poolside, breakfast, size of our junior suite Hotel now very tired and definitely in need of a total revamp. Our bathwater was brown. Would have preferred a duvet on bed. It is now definitey not good value for money. Would think twice about staying there again.
