Located in a tranquil area of Sans Sebastian, this boutique hotel has a charming atmosphere with a bright and cheerful breakfast bar and free wireless internet. It is walking distance to Zurriola Beach. The Hotel Record's bedrooms are simple and smart with parquet floors, plenty of natural sunlight and well-furnished private bathrooms. If traveling on business, you are just 650 yards from the Kursaal Congress Centre. Balance work with play thanks to the Hotel Record's proximity to Sans Sebastian's Monte Ulía and the beautiful coastline of the Basque Country. A very simple hotel in a good location and value for money for first two nights, however the price nearly doubled for night of 1st July which was excessive for this standard of hotel.

The staff is very friendly, they were very helpful and kind. We left the room at 12:00 and they allowed us to leave the car there until late. It's not really in the center but Donostia is quite small and in15 minutes you can be there, furthermore the promenade next to the beach and the Kursaal are on the way, really worth to walk through. The location is very convenient while traveling by car, very accesible from the highway and they provide free parking. I really recommend it if you travel to the city.

We stayed at this fantastic hotel for 5 nights with two young children (5 & 3). From the moment we arrived we received the warmest welcome from the owner and the staff, which continued throughout the week. They bent over backwards to help us with any questions and advice we sought. The room was very spacious and cleaned to a high standard daily. The location of the Hotel is excellent, 700m to Playa de Zurriola and 10min walk (or take No 13 bus) to the old town along the promenade. Excellent playgrounds for the children are located 5 mins walk away along with a great range of tapas bars at local prices.

The service was very friendly and the staff offered all the extra goodies that made us feel right at home. We brought in a bottle of wine and played Scrabble in the dining room, she opened the wine and cut the watermelon we brought. Our room had a cute terrace we loved. And I especially enjoyed the breakfast with homemade bread and jam and very nice coffee. The beds were just okay, nothing extra comfortable but fine.

The staff were incredibly friendly and forthcoming with useful information. I haven't had better hotel staff before. Maybe a bit expensive for the quality of the furniture and room.

The staff at Hotel Record were amazing. They consistently treated us with a smile, and great recommendations on places to eat, even making our reservations. We were on our honeymoon and when they found this out, we got a beautiful champange gift from themwhich made us feel very special. Thanks Hotel Record, you've been the best destination and hospitality of our trip! The traffic noise was quite loud and there doesn't appear to be any insulation from the noise. The walls are paper thin, you can hear when your neighbours are having their showers and talking.

The bedroom was a good size and the balcony a bonus. The breakfast very good value. We chose the hotel for location, price and car parking (parking was not guaranteed but we were fortunate to have it). The staff (mother and daughter ?) were excellent and could not have been more helpful and friendly. Their recommendations for eating out were spot on. We thought that the bedroom furniture was a bit scruffy and the room and en-suite a bit dated but a good size and clean.

Very helpful and friendly english-speaking staff. Calm location but still quite close to the Kursaal conference center, the beach and the restaurants/bars in the old town. If I ever come back to San Sebastian, this would be my hotel of choice.

Our stay at Hotel Record was wonderful. All the staff were extremely helpful especially Liere who showed us all the places to go. The rooms were basic but quaint and very clean. The bathroom was a good size which was great for 2 sisters to share. I loved the breakfast which consisted of fresh melon, toast with cured meats and cheese and of course tea, coffee and juice. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk to one of the beaches but about a 15 minute walk to the old town and the shopping which is where we spent most of our time. The cobble stones were a little tiring on the feet but probably more of our own fault for not bringing better shoes! Another point (nothing to do the hotel) be prepared for rain! It essentially rained for the 4 days we were there, however the sun did come out on the day we left.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in advising us what to do, places to eat. Family room was spacious and private. Easy car access and parking included. Breakfast was good value for money. Definitely a one star hotel with old floors and carpets, basic furnishings. Lack of AC meant we had to open windows to sleep but were awakened by late night partygoers. 157 euros is a lot of money for this. Hotels location takes 25 minutes to walk to the old town.

The girl on reception was very, very helpful, giving us lots of information and was very welcoming. We had a family room (2 adults + our 9 year old son) which was very comfortable for us for the one night stay. The location was good - just outside the main town. Easy to walk to town and beach. It wasn't terribly modern and a bit expensive for what it was. Quite noisy traffic wise in the morning. It was just a one night stopover for us which was fine.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly... Being met with a cool beer after a 6hour drive is just what you need. The location was great only a short stroll to the centre or beach. The parking is a bonus and one if the reasons why I booked this hotel. There's is nothing negative really to say about this hotel allbeit that it is a simply furnished room so don't expect anything else. But the free wifi was a bonus.

The staff was extremely helpful - providing advice about restaurants, exploring the city, etc. The location was convenient and the free parking a tremendous asset as parking is very expensive. The hotel also offers free wifi and a very reasonable breakfast. It includes cereal, yogurt, toast, juice, cheese, ham and coffee or tea for 4.2 euros which is better than you will find elsewhere.

The people were terrific. The rooms were much nicer than I expected them to be for the price. We could open windows and let real air in. The bathroom was very basic. I wish they had more shelf space for medicines and toiletries.

“We liked everything about the Codina. The front receptionist was outstanding from explaining bus routes, parking, the old city, and the hotel facilities. The coffee shop attendants were very helpful and went about doing their jobs in a very efficent and friendly manner. The hotel room was very comfortable, of a good size and clean, the view of the ocean was tremendous. The WiFi was reliable. The location of the hotel was good, within walking distance of the commercial area and the old city. If you did not want to walk the bus stop is right outside the hotel.
