We found the location of the apartment excellent for sightseeing, restaurants and bars. Jorge kindly put us in the front apartment overlooking the street and we had plenty of room.
There was no sign indicating "Santa Ana Apartments" and when we arrived at 3.30pm, the door was locked, not a very welcoming feeling.
Great location, very clean. Friendly staff
Unit was not as images shown on site. Accommodations were average. No attention to details
Everything is close by either by walking or the Metro. Great tapas and bars nearby. Peaceful and quiet.
The air conditioning could have been more effective.
the apartment is in the heart of Madrid, easy to get everywhere. with good price as well. the facility and decoration is OK.
Every thing was great
Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location!
Bed was a bid flimsy
the location could not have been better and the extra space was great. I could not recommend enough!
Location is very good, central to everywhere you want to go in Madrid. Good restaurants were everywhere and Puerto del Sol and Plaza Sta. Ana were within a 5 minute walk.
The service was ok except for one gentleman who didn't seem too keen on offering information.
We liked the location. The room was nice, big windows and balcony. The kitchen was clean and comfortable. Small but nice bath. Good beds. We enjoyed our stay at Santa Ana apartments.
Sometimes the net connection was poor. We had like to have a second lamp vita the bed.
The staff is quite nice, all the things make me feel happy.
Manager met us at the apartment and was very nice and helpful. It was nice having a 2 bedroom apartment with a washing machine for our family of four, and the view to the street was nice during the day. The beds were comfortable enough and the apartment was clean enough. Perfect for people who want to party all night long but not recommended for families who value sleep at night.
There were no air conditioning units in the bedrooms and we got very warm at night. One of the bedrooms did not have any windows, but we wouldn't have opened them anyway because it was exceptionally noisy at night! All night long! At 5:30am I tried to take out my earplugs only to hear singing and screaming in the street below. There was no escaping the noise and we found if we wanted sleep, we had to do it in the daytime. This area is filled with bars and the street below is packed with 20 and 30 year olds who just want to party. We were there Monday through Thursday and were told it's even worse on the weekends … I cannot imagine! It got to the point we dreaded trying to sleep at night as even the earplugs couldn't drown out the singing from the street. Not a good family spot.
Location, clean, air-conditioning, price.
No place for car neither for dropping off luggage without disturbing car traffic (few cars to be honest)
The location was superb with a lively and atmospheric plaza on our doorstep! We could explore so much of Madrid with ease. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our apartment was well appointed, with everything a family needs, and plenty of space. We were all very happy with this accommodation.
Apartment was just 5 mins walk from Puerta de Sol and the Sol metro station. A mini-mart just a few steps opposite the apartment. Eateries, bars, restaurants and shopping are just walking distance.
There was no signage at the apartment. You will need to find by the unit number. Upon arrival, outside the apartment, we did not know how to get in. Luckily, we have the prepaid card and managed to call them to open the door for us. There are some steps to the lift. You will need to request for floor mat and hairdryer.
an excellent location at a good price. very friendly staff. Thank you Tanya!
The location is the best, walking to both the palace and the museums and the plaza mayor. Tapas in Santa Ana plaza is some of the best in Madrid. The rooms were just as we expected in the pictures. We made simple meals in the kitchen, and we had most meals on the deck. The top floor apartment was the best. The deck overlooks the city, very comfortable. This was my daughters favorite place on the trip to Spain which included a resort on the beach and top end US hotels. More of a family place to relax. AND it was quiet.... we were in Madrid during the world cup and the Coronation... very busy, and it was very quiet in or room, while the streets going crazy. Very happy with this choice.
The rooms could use a new coat of paint. After checking in, it was not easy to reach anyone for questions. The second shower is on the deck (in a bathroom), but we knew that when we booked. Wireless was OK.
The location was excellent and within easy walking distance to most of the attractions that we wanted to see. There is a SPAR grocery store across the street where I picked up some evening/breakfast foods. The apartment staff greeted us warmly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful. They supplied a wifi router when our wifi connection in the room didn't work. The sauna features in our shower were a bonus!
The apartment was a bit run-down for the money that we spent on it. Trouble with the wifi, but that was resolved by the staff. Overall it was a good stay.
location, kitchen, laundry, large bathroom and cool shower settings.
could have used another bed and a little more space in the living/bed room area. tv reception was very poor. but we went to bars to catch the world cup instead. :) wifi reception/bandwidth could have been better. surprised at how poor wifi service was in all areas of Spain.
Jorge was a great host. After traveling all night it was so welcoming to have someone greet me by name and let us into our flat a bit early. The location was excellent with just a short walk to reach the Prado and Plaza Major. And despite other reviews to the contrary we heard nothing at night!
Not much was wrong with the apartment. Maybe a few more towels and more pillows and a "real" coffee maker.
Location was fantastic
Staff was not friendly at all. Not helpful. Also there was no breakfast & they returned only 1 Euro per person per day for not being able to provide breakfast!!
Location was perfect
Apartments were smaller than expected. Two bedroom apartments are not comfortable for 6 people
Location is perfect, just walking distance to the shopping district and city tour busses. Lots of supermarkets and cafes are around.
We had to wait for check in almost an hour standing in the street with bags and kids. It was so bad coz we informed about arrival time in advance and also called to the management on the phone fro Madrid itself informing that we are on the way. But they made us worried and tired. Other thing is that elevator starts at 1-st floor and ends at 3-rd. So we had to carry our huge&heavy bags till the 1-st floor and then from 3-rd floor to 4-th. It was really difficult. And appartment itself is very small, much smaller that you can think looking at the pictures. Bed in the bedroom is very tide and shaking. Bedroom itself is very tide, doesn't have any shelfs or wardrobe. This appartment can be good only for couple alone, without any kids.
Central location. Easy walk to el Sol, Plaza Mayor, and El Prado. Good condition, with some exceptions. Nearby Spar market. Good for active, relatively young people, and couples but not for seniors. Not particularly good for kids.
Noisy. Not for seniors; stairs, steps, noise. Kitchen needs a cutting board, a pasta strainer, a wooden spoon, a tablecloth, etc. Mark the step up clearly: dangerous. Arrival instructions have insufficient details; need a detailed map.
Great location, comfortable and quiet apartment with good furniture & bathroom.
Not very much kitchen equipment. Hot water didn't last long enough for 3 of us to shower.
They were very cute and within walking distance to most things. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved their own "little" room with their own beds. The kitchen had a nice size fridge. To the right when you walk out down the street is a big square with lots of resturants.
Maybe a little bit better signage when arriving .
