Good location, nice view from apartment.
Poor kitchen and bathroom equipment. Old furniture. Child bed 8 euro for one night.
Location & quiet area
Room a bit basic, looked nicer on pictures than in real life.
Staff is very friendly. Have most facilities I need with reasonable price. Close to bus station.
Should have dish brush and soap for cleaning.
location, room was convenience to reach from bus station and get the a key for room at night.
no free internet and parking.
The location is great, though it looks like it's a little way to the beach Tossa de Mar is a small town so it's close to everything while being away from the noise. The apartment was wonderful: spacious, comfortable and exactly what we needed. I would recommend it to anyone and I would happily stay again! The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly as our flight arrived after the reception had closed for the day. If you're staying out of season there's parking on the roads around the area so there's no need to pay for a space.
The sound carried a little through the walls, particularly when people from nearby apartments were leaving for early flights. They only have one key for each apartment which can make for difficult logistics if you're part of a group.
Excellent location. Pool was an added bonus. Apartment was excellent - clean, spacious and airy.
Wifi a bit sporadic
The didnt clean the beds vey 5 days..
Nice location and very friendly staff
More of a hostel than a hotel in terms of service - they do not clean the room, throw out the garbage or change the towels. We had to buy the toilet paper ourselves which is ridiculous for the hotel. The check-in time they give you on Booking.com is from 17:00 to 00:00 when in fact the receptionist leaves at 20:00 and there is no one when you arrive. It took us an hour (and a big telephone bill) to find the place where they left the key from our room. Moreover, we have requested a parking space and they forgot to give us a key from the parking, so we had to find a parking space in the town (which was a good idea as it was pretty easy to find very close to the hotel and that was free while in Villa Romano it costs 10 euros per night). There is no free Wi-Fi which is again ridiculous for the hotel.
Cozy place with great views felt like a home away from home. Great location. everything you need was close.
No free internet
Stunning view, but you need to pay for it extra 50 euro per apartment. It is located on a hill and not very close to the sea, about 15-25 min walk (depending on which beach you choose to go) It was nice experience to see beautiful Tossa and the sea from a big balcony every morning and evening, but I still would not stay here never again. The wooden furniture is good, the design of apartment is very simple, mediterranean style, but nothing special and not cosy.
There is nothing in this apartment for your comfortable stay, only bed is fine. It is really easier to say what you will get than what is missing. You will have to buy everything yourself, be prepared to go to reception located in the main building and ask for a hairdryer, iron, kettle, ironing board and carry all this to your apartment and then back when leaving. No full length mirror, just 1 cooking pot, broken shower cabin and locks... Ants on the landing attacking apartments. We were in the building no.3, but I have seen people struggling with the door lock in the 1st/main building, so I suppose not only 3rd building have problems. The swimming pool is very small. I know much better and cheaper hotels in Tossa, which I used to stay before.
The location of the villas was great - very easy to get to the bus station and only a stroll from the beach. We complained about our room after the first night and the lady behind the desk was very kind and moved us into a better room for the rest of our stay. The manager however was very unfriendly and unwilling to move us.
The sofa bed in room 101 (block 1) was very uncomfortable. The room was not worth over 100 Euros a night. The air con blew all night on my husbands face when we were sleeping. The bathroom ceiling was falling in. The room was not private at all - all the sunbathers at the pool could see us in our room.
1. Clean 2. Modern room's furniture and household appliances 3. Quiet at nights 4. Close to city center, supermarket, sea and bus station
1. Almost dead Internet, connection is very slow, half an hour to open gmail.com 2. If you leave in room with balcony overlooking the terrace - be ready to listen children's screaming in waterpool on terrace right in front of your windows 3. Be ready to rise uphill every time you go home - Villa Romania costs on the hill, was not a big issue for me but could be a problem for old people
Balcony with a sea view (with an extra cost). Beginning of June is a good time to travel there.
Nice enough place but ended up in the ghetto room, no view
Villa Romana is perfectly situated just outside the village centre. A walk to the beach will take 7 minutes only. Lorena/reception is very kind and can give all the information you want. View from our apartment in the main building was great (app 202).
Although the view from our apartment was great, the noise (footsteps, moving furniture) from the families in the duplex apartments above, was very loud. So, try to get one of these three duplex on the upper floor, or get apartments 206, 207, 208 on the second floor, which have no apartments above them. All these have sea view which costed us € 25.00 for four days in total. That's well worth the money as some apartments have a desperate view on a brick wall, a pity. The pool is small, but ok, temperature beginning of May 22 degrees only. Free wifi at the reception is slow, payed wifi is a bit better. Parking space will cost an additional € 8.50 per day which is too expensive for an unpaved, unguarded dirt terrain. Reception was closed between 13.00-16.00 hrs which is surprising as you are allowed to check in at 14.00 hrs for short stays.
We stayed here for 9 nights. 9 great nights. We chose an apartment by the pool, with lovely view of the sea and the citadel. We didn't have to pay extra for it. At the reception we were welcomed with smiles and good English. The rooms are big enough, and the outdoor space is great. There is a well equiped kitchen, with a big fridge. We only missed a toaster and a kettle. The bathroom is spacious and the bedroom is nicely decorated. We stayed in Villa 1, so we had to walk to the top of the hill, but it wasn't tiring at all. We loved our staying there and we would go there again.
well-designed appartment, spotless crockery and bathroom. Staff pleasant and helpful. Pleasant Outlook over town and sea.
Storage facilities. Only a wardrobe. No chest of drawers or dressing table even though plenty of space. Only mirror was in bathroom. Very steep climb to appartments from town. Would be a struggle if not fully fit.
Superb location. Lovely rooms. Really well equipped and very helpful staff. A lovely four days in a beautiful place. Thanks.
The rooms were big and had everything for cooking. I was surprised on the amount of tools available to cook. The girl in reception was very friendly.
Didn't have seaviews from my appartment.
clean and comfortable, nice pool area, good size accommodation. Accessible from bus station so good when travelling by public transport.
A few lights etc in the villa needed fixing, but didn't interfere with our stay. The pool loungers were in obvious need of repair.
Comfortable well equipped apartment in a lovely location above Tossa de Mar. Although a bit of a climb it was well worth it.
