I loved the place. Great kitchen with two fridges, clean, not far from the old town.
The only problem is the somewhat seedy neighbourhood and the noise at night coming from he street.
very close to old city and main attractions
neighborhood (their main doors is locked even in middle of the day)
the staff is very kind
the room is too small. the breakfast is not very good. the road looks dangerous.
Clean, modern, looked good, had wifi and access to a computer, kitchen in room, lots of communal space, secure place to leave a bike
breakfast was busy and a little limited but no other problems
The common rooms
Breakfast was terrible - made out of the cheapest ingredients you can find. Honestly, I would rather they were not serving breakfast while you are on holiday There was no room service- we stayed there 3 nights and for 50 euros a night it is reasonable to expect some better standards.
Very good value although a student residence rooms were good size with facilities for light cooking.Secure parking good.150m from bars & restaurants
Immediate neighbourhood not the best but no problems
the building and our room were recently renovated; not very spacious but it’s normal with this price; close to Abando train station and to the historical centre (both old and modern parts); overall very good value for price
wifi connection only in common spaces (corridor or learning room); the neighbourhood is rather low profile, especially on evenings and nights (however we didn’t have any particular safety problem and it’s just on the boundary of this neighbourhood so it will take you 45 seconds to get to a calmer space)
the cheapest solution during the bbk festival, 5 minutes walk away of the old city. Cheap but poor breakfast, cost only 3euros. very friendly staff, 24hours
no wifi internet connection at the room. the neighborhood is really safe, we were walking from the bus station to the hotel around 3 o clock in the night every night
Nice staff, modern decoration, good facilities, fair breakfast.
Hard to bath - tight bathtub and slippery floor; the neighborhood.
It was clean. It has all facilities needed to do your own food. Big common spaces
Area could be better Missing air conditioning Missing a TV
Location and value
Breakfast too late
It was really okay basically had all an independent traveller needed But not warm and inviting both the staff and the facilities were extremely cold and perfunctory it felt more like a dormitory in an army barracks. No pictures ore decoration just plain walls ans plastic. They didnt even supply detergent or cleanin g cloth in the barely adequate kitchen I even had to request a glass and cup They could definitely do better
Did not stay at this place, although we had booked it. We drove to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim and were supposed to stay at this place. But with family and young children, nobody wanted to take a risk; as this is a very lonely street (looks like the red light area) and felt very unsafe with kids. So we risked the no-show costs and drove straight to Gijon and booked a last minute hotel there. Not recommended for families especially with kids.
I didn't know that we had to pay for the towels... and I didn't like the neighborhood because it seemed somewhat bad so we couldn't get a deep sleep.
24/7 gym, hotel security, wifi, parking (basement). Very Tidy compacT and bijou room. Reception area, cafe with outside and play/tv rooms done up in a lovely colourful and modern design.
Dont go here if you are a single traveller. Hotel is situated in a very bad neighbourhood. Prostitutes, drugsdealers, homelesspeople are all hanging around the street of the hotel. Also: its not a hotel, its a studentsdorm. Personnel doenst speak a word of English. Asking the timings for breakfast was only possible when using iphone. Matrass was thin, blanket unwashed. Finally: at 8:30 in the morning someone banged the door loudly. Upon opening, a woman gave me a tiny basket with a bag of instant coffee, crackers, a prepacked chocolatybreadroll-something (best before august 2014.. That is a lot of preservatives) a package of milk and some coconut flavoured yoghurt. Breakfast. I didnt dare touching it. Not sure how old it all was. Bilbao was nice though.
Good location a few steps of train station, where you can take a train to bus station to go to airport. Main touristic atractions in 10 - 20 minutes walking
The design of the tub turns endanger the simple act of taking a shower. There is a real danger of taking a tumble of serious consequences
breakfast,comfortable,friendly staff,well equipment kitchen,clean
Well located, clean.
There's no 'free' internet (neither wi-fi or with cable). To have access to cable internet you have to bring your own cable (no one warns you about that and if you really need internet access you have to buy a 10€ cable). The staff was rude with us because of this subject. There's no TV either. The neighborhood is a little strange.
Very clean, central location, nice rooms, comfortable bathroom, excellent value for money, good kitchen with food dispensing machines, rest area.
difficult to communicate with staff who speaks only Spanish.
Good value, helpful staff
Very unsafe neighborhood at night.
This is a university residential hall (not in semester). Room with en suite and small kitchen, small but adequate for 2 people on a budget. By comparison with other available options, good value. Secure. Close to train and in walking distance of all interests in central city, including local trains. Wifi in room.
If you accept the nature of the facility, basically a student hall, not a hotel (which we did), really nada - it was fine. Note - no TV in room, but then usually no English language anywhere.
It was cheap
It's not a hostel, it's a resident for students. The place where is located is a bit dangerous.
Wi-fi acces is good, quick, simple and very comfortable - you can use it in the room as well
I expect cleaner/better bed clothes
The room is inside a student residence and looked brand new. It was spacious with a nice bathroom and there was also a cooking area with kitchen utensils. There is a communal area on the ground floor where you can meet other travellers. The men on the reception were very friendly and helpful. The residence is situated in a mixed African/Arab neighbourhood, but it didn't seem unsafe. It is easy to walk to the Guggenheim from the residence and it is also close to Abando station.
It would be good to have some foreign channels on the TV.
