Outside the high season breakfast is served to the room and is rather monotonous, each day almost the same: milk and flakes, natural yogurt, bottled water, concentrate orange juice, instant coffee, tea bags, hard tacks, butter, marmalade, and some cookies.
On the first night we found two cockroaches in our bathroom. After that we were moved to another apartment and the problem didn’t repeat itself since (the first apartment was then disinfected for other guests).
The apartments are a bit dark (not enough daylight getting in) with pretty dim lights inside, but it’s not that much of a problem.
Excellent location with almost all major tourist attractions within walking distance (15 min to Somorrostro beach and to The Old Town, 25 min to Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà and Torre Agbar). The Parc de la Ciutadella is just on the other side of the street. If you like urban sightseeing, you can also walk to the more remote spots such as Park Güell, Montjuïc hill, the Magic Fountain and Plaça d'Espanya. And when you get tired you can find the nearest metro (subway) station and get back.
If you're a fan of the Lidl supermarkets, you'll find one nearby.
Easy access from El Prat Airport - first a bus then the metro. And if you fly to/from Girona then Estació del Nord (bus station) is only 10 min walk. If you’re planning to go to the Sonar Music Festival, then you can walk 30 min to the Plaça de les Drassanes and take the SonarBus.
We liked the furnishings and pretty well equipped kitchenette, as well as, the friendly room service and fresh towels every day.
WiFi and wired Internet worked as it should.
