I booked the cheapest room, so it was overlooking the patio and not the street, id est, the pipelines and some kitchen chimneys added their accent to the impression. But it also gave a careful eye an insight into the old architectural style of Spanish building. Which I appreciated.
An old formerly laxurious building, now with a little patina and not completely renovated, gives a taste of the city. Perfect location some 50 m. from la Plaza de la Constitucion, reliable wi-fi, breakfast included, lift, reception open 24/7, nice and helpful staff. Shared bathroom was clean, and separate for ladies and gents, which made things easier; water was hot, big mirror on the wall, hangers in the showers and long flexible shower handles for those of us who have too long hair to wash it while standing under the shower. This feature is often missing in the anglo-saxon world, but luckily not in Spain.
Very happy to have found Sta Paula.
