Retrome Barcelona  

Very nice vintage decor, comfortable and clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, near enough to some major sights (went to La Sagrada Familia and to La Rambla on foot), Metro station very near for more distant ones or if you don't want to walk. Train station for/from the airport also near to the b&b. Nice idea of outsourcing breakfast to the nearby bistros/coffee bars, also coffee & tea available in the b&b all day.

It's an amazing place! Very friendly atmosphere!

I really liked this "hotel" because it is not really a hotel but feels more like home. An old original flat renovated into 7 rooms with foyer and kitchen. Really helpfull staff, free tee and coffee. Great location - metro station Girona 1minute walk, Passeig de Gracia 10minutes walk, Plaza Catalunya 15minutes walk. Breakfast were served in nearby coffees - both of them were really good. Overall - would recommed many times :)

everything was great

Everything was great. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms perfected designed, looked exactly like on the pictures on website, cleaned every day. That was pleasure to be guestes in retrome. We recommended.

I don't normally write reviews but having stayed at this hotel I was very impressed with it. It is beautiful inside and the photo's don't do it justice. Sanna was there to greet us late in the evening and she was so helpful friendly and welcoming I couldn't have asked for more. If you want a nice hotel with friendly staff then please stay here it is also 5 - 10 mins walk from everything.

Beautiful small boutique hotel with a colourful retro style. Spotlessly clean rooms and the most comfortable hotel bed ever. Friendly staff and the cosyness of the hotel made me feel like coming home after work days in Barcelona.

There's no breakfast room in the hotel, but you get a voucher for a cafeteria opposite the hotel.

Great 60's 70's design. Friendly and very helpful staff. It feels a bit like home.

A very friendly welcome with a lovely cup of coffee. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The decor was very interesting and the bed was very comfortable. The ensuite was clean and very good. We had a great stay here, we felt very welcome and would firmly recommend it to everybody.... Thank you :)

Traffic noise at night, but was to be expected in a city centre hotel in a very busy city

The owners/ hosts of the b&b are very friendly and accommodating. Room was large and very clean. Towels changed daily upon request. Very near a Metro station. Quiet and peaceful community. Breakfast place served generous breakfast. Coffee, tea and water available in the b&b all day.

A bit far from old city and other main attractions. You'll have to take the Metro or walk by foot for about 20-25 mins.

Great design, design, atmosphere and staff. Special and unique place which you will remember many years later.

The breakfast in the cafe down the street could be al little enhanced when it comes to variety and choice especially when considering the price level is like a large 4 star hotel. TV should have also more than Spanish channels. eg CNN' BBC etc

Hotel is only a few monthd old, so everything is very clean. Room and lobby area is retro themed so if this is your style then you will love it! Although it is a retro hotel, bathroom is very modern with nice big shower (room for 2) and powerful. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location with lots of nice cafes/restaurants around and within walking distance to most of the tourist sites or 30 seconds away from metro.

Only criticism was that it doesn't have a sign or stand out at all so slightly difficult to find first time round - especially at night.

Personalised service was the best we had in Europe. It was great having coffee/tea facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful Beautiful furnishings and clean.

Beautiful hotel in a good location not too far from the sights. Excellent facilities, friendly and very helpful staff. Perfect for those who like the vintage and retro style. Would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly hosts. The 3-person suite was big and nice. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and clean. WiFi worked very well. Very good neighborhood. Close to the subway.

Place was rather hard to find as there was barely any sign on the street (just a small label). Parking was rather expensive (23 euros per day after discount). The place was 30 minutes away by foot from the main touristic areas. A/c worked so-so. Breakfast (at a nearby bar) was okay but small and a bit under par compared to other b&b'S.

We had a great stay at Retrome BCN. Rooms are very clean, towels changed every day, room vas cleaned every day, nice bathroom with loads of hot water, and nice little balcony. Coffe machine that you can use as much as you want, fridge with complementary water, cava wich was great. Stuff was very nice and helpfull. We had breakfast at local bar every day wich was great. Great location. Lots of local bars, metro station 50 m from hotel. Market just around the corner. Passieg de gracia 5 min walk, Placa Catalunya 10 min walk. All in one excellent.

Better than expected.

This is a friendly place to stay, however our room (family room central in the hotel) was a tad claustrophobic as it had no windows only a atrium space, thus very poor light. Because of this fact this was Not value for money. Other rooms in the hotel are better. The breakfast was brilliant and the hotel was very clean.

Retrome Barcelona is a beautiful, boutique hotel in the centre of Barcelona. The attention to details is outstanding. The interior of both the rooms and the lobby/lounge area are gorgeous in the use of the old style floor tiles mixed with retro objects and slightly modern feel.The rooms are cleaned and the bathroom with the rain-shower was great, We had a room looking over the interior garden, and enjoyed our private balcony.. The reception were also very helpful with maps, tips and very good coffee always available! The location is great and you can walk 5 minutes to Passagie de Gracia, or Sagrada Familia We would definitely stay there again.

L'accueil, le cadre et la déco très design. Literie très confortable.La propreté. La situation géographique. Nous avons passé 4 nuit et ce fut vraiment un agréable séjour. Le personnel est très disponible et accueillant. Possibilité de prendre un petit café au réveil et possibilité de stocker quelques provisions dans un réfrigérateur. Une des 2 chambres que nous avions donnait sur une terrasse, bien agréable en fin d’après midi pour se reposer. Endroit vraiment hors normes.

S'il faut mettre un point négatif, le volet de notre chambre qui donnait sur la rue en mauvais état, donc pas vraiment d'obscurité. Mais ça ne nous a pas empêché de dormir...
