The service was great!! very good value! well located. Quite and comfortable
The paid wi fi was horrivel.. rarely worked.. The fruits on the breakfast was not cut
Good location not too far from the beach, near the citycentre and close to the local bus stop. Nice, classic hotel with very nice and serviceminded staff. Both breakfast and dinner buffés were very good. Fine pool area.
In spite of the fact there was a sign stating it was not allowed to mark sunbeds at the poolside it was still the norm every morning. We had a room overlooking a restaurant with a rather noisy fan and not too good smell at times. Try to get a room overlooking the pool next time!
Food , situation.
Kitchen poorly equipped , friendliness of staff was variable.
We have been to the Rey Carlos many times and always loved the staff who are helpful, pleasant and very attentive. We know the hotel and location so we like to go there.
The hotel needs a facelift inside, the suites are tired and outdated. However this time we found the standard of the food served for breakfast and dinner to have slipped a lot since our last visit. The variety was limited and often what was served was overcooked, especially the vegetables. Attention needs to be directed to the kitchen as we felt that we got as being below badly cooked school dinners. We are very sorry to have to make this comment but we feel we had to.
Location, public transport connections, food, service (room maid, reception desk, restaurant), big and romantic dunes, paid wi-fi, many supermakets and bars, view from the balcony. Strongly recommend visiting (by public transport) Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogan (the so called Little Venice) and the main city - Las Palmas (13 km walk throughout the city with magnificent view from the foothills) and making an organised tour by minibus of the central part of the island.
The indoor bar is too small for such a big hotel and not cozy enough to attract many visitors despite the musical/show programmes organised every evening, In December, the strong wind on the beach of Playa del Ingles (there is no such a problem on Puerto de Mogan/ Puerto Rico's beach and the ocean's water was warmer there, as well) which, however, is welcomed by surfers.
Friendly staff..big balcony overlooking Agenda Tirajana
Almost nothing. Staff were nice. Swimming pool area was quite nice and was clean and well maintained
Almost everything. Very old tired hotel. Breakfast buffet with artificial fruit juice and terrible coffee in a dreary dark dining room. Décor that hadn't been touched since the 1960s. Location like staying in the middle of a city not at a seaside resort. Not recommended.
Good location. Large rooms. Friendly staff.
Unpractical key lock system. Dated interiors. Paid for wifi that did not work.
I was allowed to check in before time. jacuzzi next to the pool but i didnt try good security
toilete seAt wasnt cleaned when i came in first day. cleaning staff very noisy and knocking on your door too early. there is not sign to post on the door. paid wifi nowadays is unfair for the money you pay some reception staff hasnt got the courtesy to greet you
I like the location of the hotel, the free shuttle to the beaches. The breakfast was very good.
The beds were very hard. For the price you pay, I expected a comfy mattress. I stayed in a pension for four nights in las palmas prior to moving to playa de ingles and the mattress was more comfy then theirs! And I paid only 20 euros a nite.
I really like this old hotel (built in the beginning of the seventies). It have not tried to become 'modern'. Wich means, it have kept all of the interiors from the period. Dark and dungeon? Yes, but it appears as it was built. Ok for me. Everybody who's working at the hotel is very kindly towards everybody who staying there. And very gay friendly, too! When I booked a room (some months before arriving) they were able to give me the same room as I had last time I stayed there. Good service!
Nothing special to complain about. (Why should I? I'll be back..)
Through the booking the room was 80% off the 'regular' price, but the facility was just up to the actually paid price /cca 60 EUR/night/. If the regular price is ever being used the place would be heavily overpriced.
Staff found nothing difficult to provide excellent customer service. Good location and excellent transport facilities.
Cost of Wifi No hotel parking
The pillow was bed
Lovely place to stay.
No respect from the male guests at dinner. Many men in shorts. I didn't like that at all.
Asked them to not spray the room with perfumed Air purifier, but sorry, that was difficult for the room staff. They could not provide gluten free bread at breakfast.
The hotel matched our expectations, nice pool, rich breakfast, and friendly staff.
The interiors need an update
Location great, staff always willing to help eg, asked at reception for bus number and he went on the computer and printed off complete time table. Very clean rooms with friendly staff. wonderful table to sit and eat as a family.
booked self catering, 3 plates 4 glasses,1 saucepan to boil water for coffee, fridge. no way could you make a meal, would even have trouble making a sandwich as no bread knife chopping board. 2 hob cooker but 1 very small saucepan. great place to stay but not for self catering
Very nice and clean.
The location is great, you can take the buses to all resorts in Gran Canary just in front of hotel and also the airport bus. Big rooms, very excellent breakfast, comfortable pool, big supermarket in front of the hotel. Nice staff, many tours brochures at the reception. We had early check out and they gave us our breakfast in packages.
There was no shampoo in bathroom!
Staff lovely, hotel room spacious, food was good. Other clients, mainly German were polite and dignified. Really enjoyed
friendly staff, food and service is really really good
Hotel is overall bit outdated , hotel owners need to buy new plates for the restaurant
Size of the room
Food terrible Charges for the save No soap or champoo Additional charges on the WiFi and it's expensive Outdated all around Some dishes are dirty
