Location, pleasant helpful staff. No outside noise in our room.

Noise from other rooms particularly chairs on tile floor at all hours.

The Staff were very helpful especially Raphael and the location is great.

The room we were given was Style over Substance.The finishes were very good but it was like the Black Hole of Calcutta with virtually no daylight.We asked to be relocated but were refused. Do all Booking.Com customers get the same treatment? Raphaels attitude saved the day or we would have left.

The location is good and the facilities are great.

Nice big room in the old center, everything was just a few steps away.

Bathroom was big, but had bad light. The bed was not so very comfortable.

The smell in our room! Drains I think The hotel lacks atmosphere but then it was quiet while we were there. The windows should be sound proofed to stop outside noise.

Location is great, very close to the cathedral and from there almost everything is accessible. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and the hotel was quiet.

The staff were rude. The room was dirty - smears on the bed head. Toilet has not been cleaned. Minibar had not been cleaned out. Dust everywhere. Shower leaked everywhere causing a huge puddle that actually went outside the room into the hotel corridor. Asked hotel to fix it. They did not. Overall NOT a 4 star hotel as advertised.

Friendliness of the desk person. She allows us to change room for better accommodation because of lack of air conditioning (january period).

Strange not to have working air conditioning for fresh air in such hotel category but solved quickly. As others mentioned, very expensive breakfast. Why not make it competitive ?

Everything was OK

Great location (within 10 min of the cathedral). The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Modern hotel, very clean. Free wifi in the room. We requested for the biggest room and the staff obliged.

No tea / coffee machine in the room. Also the hotel had already switched from air-conditioning to heating. The room was quite warm with limited ventilation (one window in the corner of a large room) and it would have been nice to have the air-conditioner on for some time.

The location in the old city was great, restaurants at the door step and down most streets, close to flamenco shows and cathedral, fortress and the amazing parks with the government building. The hotel had very friendly and helpful staff and the room was comfortable and the wifi was of good quality.

The bathroom was not well designed, the tiles are all black and with no windows it was too claustrophobic for my liking. There was only 1 mirror so when my husband was in the bathroom I couldn't get ready in the room. There was no tea and coffee facilities but knowing this is common for many hotels in Spain we traveled with a travel kettle and 2 mugs.

In an excellent location.

Ideal hotel for what we wanted although the rooms were not soundproof and hence you could hear any movement in rooms next door or above, especially when the maids were cleaning rooms and pulling the beds out!

We were checked in early without any problems and also upgraded to a superior room with a luxury bathroom. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Getting around the hotel could be difficult for the less mobile as there are steps to negotiate to most rooms even if using the lift.

The hotel had double booked our room on the Friday night, and only notified us upon arrival (9pm Friday night). We were booked into another hotel 'of equal value', but the second hotel was of very poor quality and out near the airport. This was a huge disappointment, as we were looking forward to our stay in Seville. The hotel out near the aiport was a terrible option. The rooms were digusting, the food was very poor and there certainly was none of the charm of Seville that we would have expected. I would NEVER book a hotel of this standard. The only compensation we received from Hotel Rey Alfonso was a (disappointing at best) breakfast. The whole expericence was a incredibly frustraing and left us feeling very let-down by our experience at Hotel Rey Alfonso.

Fantastic location, very friendly staff and very comfortable room.

Location is excellent. The pool area, when open is a fantastic space. The outside rooftop bar area is also good when open. Wifi in all rooms is a fantastic perk of stating in this hotel

The fact there are no English channels on the tv not even a news channel is disappointing. The outside bar area upstairs wasn't open meaning there where no outside relaxing space to have a refreshment. The pool area was also shut on the first few days of our stay

very good location everything within walking distance

The location of the hotel is excellent and within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to see. Our room with a balcony was spacious and clean and the staff spoke english and were very helpful.

We asked for a iron, we were told one would be available when the cleaning ladies found it in another room but after asking several times more we were eventually told the iron was broken . The swimming pool could do with a coat of paint.

Underbart vänlig personal, superfriendly personel! Wonderful room and great location, except if driving a minivan or something similar to a bus...not only narrow streets but also so lots and lots of ones going in one direction...

Simply lovely - except for the difficulty of hitting the right road... Specially if you are driving something similar to a bus!!! But thats not the hotels fault, is it?

Hotel exceeded my expectations as the cost was so reasonable. Asked for a quiet room as I am a terrible sleeper and was given a large room overlooking a quiet courtyard. I found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful.The rooftop pool and bar were great and prices for wine and beer reasonable. The location was superb just behind the cathedral and seconds away from fantastic tapas bars .. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again
