I really liked all,clean,a really nice hotel,nice room and good position..i will surely come back here the next time that I will go to madrid.

The staff at this hotel are really what make the place so good for a city break or holiday. Excellent service, always ready to help with advice or anything else you need. Would recommend this hotel. Very good location for visiting the historic La Latina barrio. Close to metro for trips further afield.

The hotel is conveniently located just around the corner from the gorgeous Basilica San Francisco El Grande and one of the bus-stops of the hop-on-hop-off tour buses as well. It's also walkable distance (15 mins or so) to the central area of Puerto Del Sol. So I'd give pretty good marks for the location. The triple room we had was fine, not too small and the bathroom was quite pretty. The housekeepers were friendly and always greeted us along the hallway. The staff at the reception area weren't all that friendly though; the check-in was basic and obligatory and I had to ask the guy to orientate me with what's in and around the hotel. The hotel I was in at Barcelona - Acta Ink 606 - had wonderful staff who automatically orientated me upon check-in.

The bar downstairs! We were in Madrid for 3 nights and there was a crowd and loud noise coming from the crowd every single night, right through till 5-6 am. Luckily we're not light sleepers or we'd never get any sleep. As we checked out, we chatted with 2 women from England and they remarked about the noise too; they asked us if we had problems sleeping because they did.

The hotel is ideally situated close to absolutely everything. In 5 days we did not use any means of public transportation just walking. Great also if you are in Madrid for partying...very close to La Latina where all the great party places are.

The air-conditioned room, though small, had a very comfortable double bed and a modernised bathroom with plenty of hot water and lovely towels. We a paid a small supplement for a balcony with good views from the top (5th) floor which was served by two efficient lifts. Reception staff were very helpful, spoke some English, happily coached me with my Spanish and gave us a city map. Breakfast was ample with tasty fresh orange juice, coffee and croissants with table service until 12.00 !! This good value hotel is easy walking distance to the Palace, Cathedral, San Miguel market, Plaza Major. Although central, it was reasonably free from traffic noise.

The very considerate STAFF

We spent two nights at the HRC before moving on to Barcelona. The location is great; close to lots of great tapas bars, Plaza de la Paja, Plaza Mayor a little further away. Very close to a hop on/hop off Madrid tour bus which we found very handy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room small but adequate for our purposes. Very clean. We liked that we could have one room for all three of us (including a teenage daughter). Great value.

Walls are a little thin but not that bad given it is in a busy section.

The staff was incredibly helpful and wonderful. The room far exceeded our expectations. It was lovely.

There was only wifi in the lobby.

Expensive 'late check-out' (20 Euros after 12 pm). More use of english language. Hotel was nice, but poor and dodgy neighbourhood.The breakfast was very limited, would have been nice to have more choices.

Perfect location: not far from Royal Palace, Placa Mayor, etc. Very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Great choice for 70€ per night (talking of double room)

The front desk staff and manager Rafa could not have been nicer. Read your excellent reviews on line and they proved to be true. Immaculate, quiet room, good rate and within blocks of Plaza Mayor. Much nicer than the Gran Via area which teams in tourists. Had a booking problem of my own doing and Rafa resolved it with no questions. We plan on staying here next time in Madrid. Best deal in town.

Excellent location, just down the road from the royal palace. Superb value for money. An extremely strong 3 star hotel. Very impressed by hotel and friendly staff. Also on the Madrid Bus Tour route which helps if you want to explore the city. Would say am a hard to please person but this hotel 100% did not disappoint.

Some rooms are maybe a little small but fine for our long weekend.

The location was superb just a short walk to the Latin Quarter full of bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There are a couple of bars immediately beside the hotel which are very busy at weekends but the double glazing kept out most of the noise ok. Liked the fact you could also open the windows properly.

The garage was unbelievably tight, to the point that we couldn't actually park in it!

The location was great, just a short walk to the Royal Palace and close to 2 metro stations. Everything was clean and comfortable. No complaints.

The shower rod kept falling on us!

the room was 10 m² despite a desciption o f16 m². Difficult to make a room smaller (less than 1 m around the bed!)

I am from New York, and I highly recommend this friendly hotel, which has near by two metro stations as well as buses, it's a walking distance from the royal palace, plaza mayor, and plaza del sol to mention and other points of interest, you can reach the hotel by metro station Toledo. You will feel like at home, the staff is very kind and always willing to help you, especially Ernesto who can answer any question and guided you in your trip.

Fair hotel, small, friendly staff, good position to go out at the Latina.

Tv was set-up badly (channels not working, some well-known channels missing); no hairdryer provided with the room, and as the hotel was full they put me on a queue for having one.

A little bit old, needs a reparation, the shower was not working the first day
