We loved our private bath & comfortable room on the second floor of this Casa Rural. We also had a semi-private deck with a partial view of the countryside--so lovely. And there's a terrace on the roof. The owner was very friendly. She did not speak English but her son helped us find our way to this hidden gem. Luckily we had a tiny car so we could drive up the narrow streets and park ($$) at the top of the hill near the church. With help from the locals, we found it--not too far a walk over stony pathways shared with cars. Lots of stairs up to the second floor. It was hard to leave.

Our visit would have been easier if the owner spoke English. Her son did but is not always around.

room was clean but small with a small bathroom. the owner brought us a glass of sangria on arrival which was welcoming.views from roof terrace very good. hotel is in the middle of the old part of arcos close to bars and restaurants.when we arrived the road to the old town was closed so we couldn't drive to the hotel, not that we would have wanted to as the streets are very narrow, full of pedestrians and there is nowhere to park. beware if you are not so fit or mobile as its quite steep up to the hotel.also steep stairs in hotel. entrance to hotel is a little difficult to find as it is in an alleyway inside a souvenir shop.

beware of price fluctuations. we stayed here on 3rd may the saturday before the moto gp at jerez and paid 120 euros for a room. the same room on a saturday in june is £40.

I really enjoyed the place, very Nice location in the old part of Arcos. The room wasn't a wonder but good enough for the money.

We had this wonderful room Valdepensa, which was super romantic and cosy. I loved the fact it was orange and had old high wooden ceilings. There was everything we needed in the room, even a good quality hairdryer (quite a rarity in hotels!). It felt like staying at your friends' place. Despite of hotel facing the church with loud bell, I had an amazing sleep there - it was very quiet and church bells started ringing only from 8 am. I guess this hotel doesn't have any stars only because they don't serve breakfast. Otherwise, it would have 2 or 3 stars minimum. Wonderful views from top terrace. And how can you forget about free wine :))))

The fact that there was no proper reception area - it was a bit weird. But overall, it was a fantastic experience!!
