Rincon was a thoroughly charming, small hotel in Arcos. The proprietor was wonderful - and a highlight was the trip with him up to the rooftop, where he acted as a wonderful tour guide with historical information of the city below and the beautiful surrounding countryside. We returned later with a bottle of wine, bread and cheese, and absorbed the romantic ambiance of Arcos as the sun went down and the lights of the village came on. Beautiful!!!
Location. Quaint. Wi-Fi.
No elevator-stairs. Owner did not have our reservations at first and had to verify them.
Location. Terraces with beatiful view on the church and the illage. The hotel is in an historic building. Owner very kind.
Breakfast. It is in a coffee shop close by, You pay 5 euros but you only get 1 tostada, 1 coffee and 1 orange juice. If you go to a coffee shop by yourself you pay much less for the same.
The owner was very polite and the room very clean.Comfortable bed.
All the church bells every half hour.
We loved our private bath & comfortable room on the second floor of this Casa Rural. We also had a semi-private deck with a partial view of the countryside--so lovely. And there's a terrace on the roof. The owner was very friendly. She did not speak English but her son helped us find our way to this hidden gem. Luckily we had a tiny car so we could drive up the narrow streets and park ($$) at the top of the hill near the church. With help from the locals, we found it--not too far a walk over stony pathways shared with cars. Lots of stairs up to the second floor. It was hard to leave.
Our visit would have been easier if the owner spoke English. Her son did but is not always around.
room was clean but small with a small bathroom. the owner brought us a glass of sangria on arrival which was welcoming.views from roof terrace very good. hotel is in the middle of the old part of arcos close to bars and restaurants.when we arrived the road to the old town was closed so we couldn't drive to the hotel, not that we would have wanted to as the streets are very narrow, full of pedestrians and there is nowhere to park. beware if you are not so fit or mobile as its quite steep up to the hotel.also steep stairs in hotel. entrance to hotel is a little difficult to find as it is in an alleyway inside a souvenir shop.
beware of price fluctuations. we stayed here on 3rd may the saturday before the moto gp at jerez and paid 120 euros for a room. the same room on a saturday in june is £40.
Friendliness of owner, position, absolutely everything was magical!
situation in the old town, lots of character.
