Rio Real Golf Hotel  

Rio Real is a well kept golfer's hotel with excellent food for diners. There is a very small pool on a spacious terrace where snacks and drinks are served. There are good golf facilities and this is where the focus is.

The hotel lacks ambience and warmth. Whilst the staff are friendly when spoken to and they do speak English, there is a level of stuffiness in the hotel at times and the layout is not conducive to bringing guests together. The room we stayed in was well appointed but expensive and lacked thorough maintenance. The jacuzzi produced dirty water and the glass doors on the bathroom and shower rooms creaked noisily. The food choices were good and the quality excellent, however the drinks are overpriced. The dining spaces are hidden away on lower level with limited views of the golf course. The two cats in the dining terrace were unusual guests that clearly won't please everyone. There is a small spa centre hidden away behind the pool, however it was not open during August unless you reserved a massage through reception. The hotel facilities are not well described in the information given either on web site or in the room information, there's definitely no 'fitness centre'. The hotel location is inland from the motorway so you need a car to access any surrounding areas and there are no local bars or restaurants.

The room was enormous, biggest bed I have ever slept in.

We stayed for 1 night and had lunch and dinner on both occassions they added items to our bill that we hadn't had. Check carefully before signing. The dining room had only the two of us in it, no ambience, not even background music. Two cats were constantly around the tables.... urrggghhh ok if you are a cat lover whilst eating. Sadly not for me. I wouldn't return to this hotel, it was lifeless.....

Overall excellent hotel. Very nicely decorated, large and comfortable rooms. Bathroom was splendid as well. Somewhat small but very enjoyable swimming pool with a beautiful view over the golf course and the mountains. Short distance drive to Marbella and to the beach but definitely need a car.

Wi-Fi signal in our room and around the swimming pool was very weak. Hotel not very easy to find as it is not properly signalled on the motorway.

Beautiful hotel. Only spent one night but would definitely return and would recommend.

Amazing hotel for its price !!! a very good golf resort !!! Amazing breakfast for the right price. The services are just as good.I Spent a good time at the hotel and I am happy to come back any time !!!

The pool was nice, small, but nice

I was really dissapointed with being told we'd have a king size bed, when actually it was two beds pushed together.. Also the pictures of the rooms where alot nicer than the actual room. It was poorly painted and overall I expected more.

La réservation par Booking semble peu appréciée et ne donne pas les mêmes avantages que les autres moyens de réservation L'heure de check-out est trop stricte ne permettant pas même une demi-heure de battement

Sehr schönes Golfresort , super gepflegter Golfplatz, grosse und komfortable Zimmer mit schönem Balkon und mit Blick auf den Golfplatz, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal,excellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Es sollte für Hotelgäste reservierte Parkplätze haben. Der Parkplatz war häufig überfüllt von auswärtigen Golfern.

Prachtige ligging met rechtstreeks zicht op golfterrein en zeer luxueuze en ruime suites.Perfecte service en onderhoud.Zeer mooi zwembad en solarium.Zeer rustige ligging en toch op amper 4km van Marbella. Auto wel noodzakelijk voor verplaatsingen in omgeving. Kleinschalig luxehotel met slechts 30 kamers alle zicht op golfterrein.OOk goed restaurant ter plaatse

Continentaal ontbijt kon iets uitgebreider maar goedkope à la carte uitbreidingen mogelijk.

Muy buen hotel, muy tranquilo y romántico. Muy Recomendable.

Habitaciones muy amplias, estilo suite. Si vuelvo por Málaga repetiré.

No se le puede poner pega alguna, salvo que está un poco alejado de todo.

Es un hotel muy tranquilo en el que se puede disfrutar del descanso y del golf. Tiene buenos productos de tocador. Deben explicar mejor el acceso al hotel para quienes vayan en auto.

El buen gusto de toda la decoración. La amplitud de las habitaciones y cuartos de baño. Personal amable y profesional.

El desayuno: demasiado básico.

Location fantastica. Hotel 4* nel mezzo di un meraviglioso e ben tenuto lussureggiante campo da golf. La camera spaziosissima con vista campo da golf. Camera da bagno ampia e comoda. Ci ritornerei.

La colazione non è a buffet ma solo alla carte, ma comunque di buona qualità.

Erittäin rauhallinen ja hiljainen, täydellinen lepopaikka.

Muurahaiset lattialla, mutta henkilökunta hoiti asian pois päiväjärjestyksestä.

very nice location and view 3 min to the real clean beach and 15 min to marbella town by car !! nice quiet area . very nice restaurant. a hotel has to be rated like 5 stars. and all this for very low price. excellent staff

Nothing except the location

The staff were rude. I was told I could not use a bar area that was open to all residents

Dit hotel is sfeerloos en het ontbijt is buitengewoon slecht. Ik kom er nooit weer!
