Staff were friendly and helpful I would have liked to know that the room only opened onto a lightwell when I booked - I would have been willing to pay more for a room that opened to fresh air.

The position is good and the price is cheap, but if I have had to stay longer than two nights I would have looked for another hotel. The bathroom was not very cleaned, the shower was full of mold and didn't seem very hygienic. The toilet was smelling and the radiator was dirty too. The room itself was not very cleaned: duvet cover, curtains and windows were dirty and two small pillow on the bed were yellow instead of white.

Location was close to the historic district. The bed and mattress was comfortable- No airconditioning and it was quite hot there. Most or all of the rooms have a window that opens to a small courtyard and there is little ventalation. It was dificult to sleep due to the heat and stuffyness in the room. May be OK for winter and early spring and late fall but not for summer. Shower had a lot to desire but for the price I won´t complain too much about this.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is close to Train , Tram and Underground. There are plenty of bars and bistros close by and it is a short tram ride to the Guggenheim. There is no food option with this hotel

Location location location, right on the verge of the Old Town and the main street ways to the upper shopping district, and located by the river a 10 min walk to the Guggenheim. Dirty, rude owners (but other staff were nice)...when I first arrived she told me she couldnt speak english, and then asked me why I was there in spanish...afterwards to say in perfect english "oh you have a booking..."??? Really? Very unnecessary...and a bad start

Even though my spanish isn't the best, the people who worked there tried their best to answer our questions and use a little English when they could. The ensuite shower and toilet was amazing, plus the tv was an added bonus¬!

Hotel is situated in a ideal spot to tour the old part of the city and within easy walking distance of the Guggenheim museum. Easily acsessed from the train and metro station at Abando. Room was spotless and comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money. Situated next to a slightly dodgy looking late bar/night club, could put older people off.

Convenience of access to the centre of Bilbao It would be helpful for the information to specify that there is no lift and everything is at first floor level or above from the street entrance. It has minimal staff and if they are not on hand to help, carrying heavy baggage up the many stairs can be a problem.

“This hotel was nice and modern, but set within a lovely old building. The reception staff were brilliantly helpful, and patient with our slow Spanish. The location is great for the old town and the theatre (and tourist info office there) and the centre of Bilbao is small enough to walk around.” Anna, Oldham |
