The hotel wakes up at 7 a.m., and so do you - it's amazing how much the noise carries into the room. Clattering of plates, voices, plumbing - a cacophony of sound that wakes you up. As mentioned by other reviewers, the car park is an exercise in precision driving - columns, ramps and sharp corners. We only had a small VW Polo - I'd hate to have had a bigger car.
The hotel is entirely on the first floor of the building, so all those lovely balconies in the photo are not part of the hotel. Only a few rooms front onto the river, and these are the deluxe rooms - all the others have no river views. We upgraded to a deluxe room, and it was almost identical to a standard room, apart from the river view - we didn't even have an actual balcony, just some windows that opened onto the river. The room was pretty small with no bath - the photos seem to be of the best room in the hotel, so don't be fooled. Apart from that, good enough for a basic hotel.
