Hotel was clean with friendly and attentive staff. Very close to the beach, shops and bars. Plenty of Spanish style food on the buffet, but rather repetitive after a few days of the same. Close and easy to get to Airport. Resort area flat and easy for walking from one resort to next. Good value for the money paid. Definitely not a four star, but was good value for money. Rather dated and no comfort in the furniture only sitting area apart from a few tables around pool, in bar/entertainment room. Dining type chairs and wooden tables. No lounge room with sofas to relax. Entertainment poor.

The Junior Suite we were in, which overlooked the Pool was just so wonderful, especially for my 74 year old mum who enjoys sitting on the balcony at the end of the day watching people swimming and enjoying themselves. The staff are just so friendly and helpful and the Hotel is extremely clean. The food is very good too. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Lovely clean rooms with a sea view. Good choice of food at breakfast with efficinet staff service - clearing tables etc. friendly maid service always helpful.Great location for the beach would reccommend to others. Requested a junior suite - not allocated but told given a better room, however this did not have any coffee/tea making facilities which we had expected in Junior suite

A clean and friendly hotel in an ideal position for a beach holiday. The food was, generally, good with a reasonable selection. The only critisism is that there were no drawers in the bedroom.

The location right next door to the beach and for people with restricted mobility it is excellent as there are no hills. The junior suite that we had was excellent with plenty of room and a nice balcony. Having to wait for our meals because the restaurant was full and the close proximity of the tables.

Best option I found was to take metro c1 from malaga centre or airport to montemar alto stop (next stop after torremolinos) and then short walk down hill to hotel 10-15 mins, google streetview the route as I did to familarise yourself with visual view of route. As with other reviews the beds are hard, like sleeping on the floor not good for dodgy back. Buffet breakfast and dinner were hit and miss somedays good and some so so. But good range so you will find something to suit you but at 98 euro half board for four days inclusive I would put up with all above again and again, the best hotel deal I have found so far Uncomfortable bed

Hotel is well located for beach and other tourist facilities; close to bus routes. Well managed and reliable standards. Not gourmet food but good quality, wide choice and endless supply in buffets. An efficient place.

Ideal for me - Have staying many times before - always greeted wel and ideal for me - I have Half Broard for a very reasonable price - so travelling on ones own no food problems. Ok a very "mature" crowd! So not for the young or families at this time of the year. Food ok not gourmet but still ok. Will go again.

I have been to this hotel several times now,the staff are always friendly and helpful. It is centrally located only a short walk to the beach. While the food is not as varied as it could be,it is nontheless, well cooked, presented, and plentiful. The hotel manageress is usually present thoughout the day/evening and she works hard doing an excellent job of ensuring her high standards are maintained. The hotel is good value for money and we have enjoyed our late October break as usual. My only slightly negative comment is that as the hotel was more busy than is usual this year so some guests had to wait for dinner,as the diningroom was operating at maximum capacity.

The hoel Roc Lago Rojas is in an excellent location, just out the back gate and you are in the restaurant and shop area and the beach is only one minute away. Food very bland in hotel so we only had dinner twice and eat out nearby. Beds only changed once a week which is very poor for a 4star hotel. We stayed from the 1st October to the 8th as we were taking a cruise from Malaga. Mature Couple Dublin

Had a fabulous 4 day break at the Roc Lago Rojo where we found the staff to be extremely friendly. Our room, with aircon, on the third floor was quite large by hotel standards and was also spotless. We went half board and there was plenty of variety for both breakfast and dinner. The only drawback was the swimming pool area which was very small and quite shaded. However, on the upside the hotel is literally 50m away from the fabulous beach. It is also right beside the main street where you will find plenty of restaurants and bars. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday at La Carihuela.

The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of La Carihuela just a short walk from the promenade and beach. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach and the area still retains its charm and is not over commercialised.
