We had a half board option for our 5 night stay, it was ok to have 2 meals -one in the morning and late evening , also i would not take this in the future as there was too long break between the meals and we had to get some food in the local shops/restaurants at the time. Obviously we were happy to have a meals ,but I would not recommend a half board option , i.e better idea is to get breakfast only and then cater yourself anywhere else.
Breakfast could be more varied as it felt boring to have same meal over 5 days, ( you could choose between beans, toasts, sausages - if you are lucky you can get an omlette, which was the most balanced option from my point of view).
Also, for dinner you can have a main meal and tea or coffee or /and water, when we were asking for the things that we have already payed for ,some staff behaved in way like if we would owe them something,so it did not really feel like a half board service just because you would have to order your meal and get that face expression on staff like 'there we go again, we have to feed them etc.'
we really tried not to get into any kind of arguments and make the most of our holiday, when we left some tips, things have changed slightly after this, however, I would only take breakfast if I was to book it for a second time.
Location- the apartment is close to the seafront, all the restaurants are one stone throw away, the island itself is quite neat ,weather was just lovely over the Easter weekend.
