Next to the historic center on Puerta de Toledo, this smart hotel has a great breakfast buffet and a lounge bar perfect for relaxing in after visiting the sights.
Score from 836 reviews Very good
if you accept that the room is rather small, then you have an excellent value for money; I spent 4 weeks in Madrid, but used the Metro only 9 times, as the Hostal is located so centrally
Loved the air conditioning and newly tiled bathroom. It was perfect for 31€ average per night and was right in la Latina which had the Las Palomas festival at the time we visited.
The only drawbacks were the lack of English spoken by staff so it's recommended you speak some basic Spanish. However the staff are super friendly and make efforts to understand bad Spanish.
Rooms are clean and the staff are always looking to help. Location is just at 2 minutes walk from the Metro and Puerta de Toledo.
The inability to interact with staff. They don't speak English.
Very clean. Store well obscuring light. Quiet (except when the neighbors are doing work). Air conditioning system efficient and quiet. Good Wifi. Floor of the room and the whole bathroom tiling. Door properly sealed shower. The situation close to transport and shops in a popular area. Very friendly staff even though he speaks only Spanish.
Bed springs that emerge. The room and bathroom are small and do not leave too much room for storage.
The proprieter doesn't speak English, but in the end we managed OK. The room was wee, but perfectly fine for me - might be a bit of a juggle with two people. Great location close to a Metro stop.
this hotel is best hotel in lower price
We went twice to the hotel. First time we had a very small room, the bathroom was especially narrow. At our second visit the room was ok.
Position, close to everything you wanna see in Madrid. The room was small, but for a single person was more than enough plus it was super clean.
Staff doesn't speak english at all...might be a problem but they're really kind and try to help anyway.
friendly helpful staff
tiny room and very thin walls - feels like your neighbours sleep in your room
Very friendly staff, no issues encountered!
Getting a key for the gate and both frontdoors so entering was always possible.
The rooms were clean and tidy and despite the whole outside being under construction it was a nice enough stay. Good location.
The two staff members we met didn't speak a word of English between them, please excuse my English ignorance here but if you run a hostel for tourists at least learn some basics! Even we tried a little Spanish! Wifi didn't work, and the walls are so thin we were woken at 5am by the couple next door doing the naked dance!!! Not cool! Would I recommend to an English speaking couple, no way. Spanish speaking....sure!
