location and price and style of hotel and restuarant. this hotel is perfectly placed for everything in barcelona with access on doorstep. this was our second visit and would stay again.

Great position to see the older parts of the city. Situated in a beautiful old square next to Las Ramblas.

There was a mass of very noisy teenagers also staying at the hotel.....we may just have been unfortunate. The breakfast could have been more comprehensive. Neither would stop us from returning though.

Location was great with easy access to Las Ramblers and Port Olympic. Easy to get around Barcelona with good access to Bus Turistic and other bus tours and services. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. A short walk to catch an Aerobus to and from the airport.

Room was very basic the bed linen was clean but threadbear. The room did have air conditioning but was at the back of the hotel on fifth floor so no view out of the window only a brick wall and the lift is a little adventurous! The shower was 'interesting as it could only be directed towards the wall but the water was always hot. The price of the room was fairly cheap so don't expect any frills.

When booking I needed to make sure the room had air conditioning. Apparently there is an extra fee for that. I didn't know, therefore, we were hot!! (traveled during summer). Didn't like that.

The location of this hotel is fantastic! Just off the Ramblas, in a beautiful square, with a lovely fountain in the middle and surrounded by palm trees and numerous cafes and restaurants! We were within walking distance of most things, or if not, walking distance to the metro. For the price, the location was excellent!

I would never stay here again in the summer! There is no air-con, justa couple of fans provided in the room, and when you are 4 floors up it was truly unbearable! The fans did no more than ciculate hot air around the room. We had an awful nights sleep because it was so unbearably hot, that my partner had to get up in the middle of the night and go downstairs to buy water else we would've woken so dehydrated we would surely have been ill the following day! We were only on a stop-over in Barcelona, and so were only here the one night, but if we were staying longer we would have had to check out and stay somewhere with air-con. I'm sure in the cooler months of the year it is fine, but I would advise you to not stay here in the heat of summer, it was stifling!!! The breakfast was also very limited with just a few pastries, cereal, tea-coffee and juice! Pancakes, fresh fruit or an egg would have been nice!

The onl one good thing to say is 'location'!

Roma Reial was great. Barcelona was very expensive and we felt we were being ripped off most of the time. We will not go back to Barcelona.

Great location !!! Extremely close to Rambla, almost in the middle way between Plaza Catalunya and Columbus monument (port).

Unbelievable noisy if windows are located to plaza Reial !!! Next day bought ear plugs. Helps a bit... Beds and mattresses are very old and creaky. Needs repair. It looks like 20 years passed after last repair.

kamer zonder venster, enige opening is in koker waarin alle badkamers van de omliggende kamers in uitkomen waardoor alle badkamergeluiden zeer hoorbaar zijn :-) ontbijt zeer basis, beetje kaas of hesp zou welkom zijn
