Room Mate Pau    

My husband and I had just gotten off a 12 day cruise in the Med and we arrived at the hotel v. early. We expected to actually ck-in later, but the lovely front desk ladies gave us our room right away. I had booked a standard room, but the icing on our cake for a bucket-list vacation was, we got a free upgrade to their best suite! It was incredible. It had a deck overlooking Fontanella St., but was not too busy to sleep really well. The deck had a beautiful view. lots of entertaining furniture and a HOT TUB!! Inside our room was a comfy kingsize bed, built-in closets for each of us, nice flat screen TV, fabulous bath with huge walk-in shower with rain forest shower heads, double sinks, Jacuzzi tub and bidet!! The overall style is modern, light and interesting to view. The breakfast (included in our price) sumptuous with many all-fresh selections of fruits, danishes, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereals and lotsa of coffees, your choice to brew... cup by cup... The whole experience was a true delight and I will look for these hotels first- wherever we go! Plus... all of the front door staff could not have been more accommodating.. Thank you Room Mate Pau for ending our memorable vacation with a BANG!

Room design-shower-friendly and helpful staff- good variety breakfast- location near metro and bus and shopping-water jugs in foyer

Layout of breakfast room - coffee/tea/plates/cups all in small inaccessible corner of large breakfast room. Meant alot of people moving in and out of small area. Variety of breakfast same daily so bit boring after 4 days. No kettle in room. Sink could not be plugged to wash. Insufficient room lighting so room bit dark.

Location was perfect and front staff was very very helpful

A very modern, well located hotel to all of Barvelona's great attractions. Extremely comfortable bed and great shower. For a hotel situated on a major city street, it is very well insulated against noise, with double glazed windows. Courteous and very efficient reception staff helped alot for us jet lagged travellers!! - highly recommended.

Brekafast options just OK.

This is an ultra modern hotel, superbly located for all of Barcelona's great attractions. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided great local advise

Breakfast options could be better.

Great location, we can walk to most of the places, including the beach, the staffs were very helpful, my 18 yrs daughter loved it too, really made our visit so much more enjoyable, our next visit to Barcelona we will stay there again for sure.

Bed was too soft, awkward room design, shower leaked so badly we had to change rooms.

I love the design, comfort of the hotel, especially the tab with hydro-massage helps a lot after whole day walking:), very good conditioner in the room, wonderful garden in the restaurant, good breakfast! The great location of the hotel is good for shipping and explore the city as well. Taxi and airport buses are near the hotel.Great hotel!

Everything was good about this hotel, very stylish and quiet room, comfy bed, friendly staff, excellent location...will definitely go back there and strongly recommend it

The receptionist Esther was particularly helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Ideal location - just a few steps away from the bustle of Placa Catalunya, yet the room was surprisingly quiet. No sound of traffic.

The room was not as large as we had anticipated. Although there was a window, it looked out onto a small, dark courtyard and did not shed much daylight into the room. It was hard to see what the weather was like (useful when deciding what to wear for the day)

We choosed double bed in our booking. But we were given twin bed and we were on honeymoon. As a result of our objection, next day they gave us a double-bed room. Indeed the staff has been very nice to us. But I wanted to mention here as I once came up with this same issue in Vienna too. Not nice

Excellent service staff and cleaniless.hotel was safe n very well located.

No tissue was provided n our room aircon control broke down.staff tried their best to help n offered us a change of room but we had unpacked so much n too lazy to move.

Probably one of the 'coolest' hotel rooms I have stayed in - brilliant design and use of the space. Very comfortable beds - maybe a touch too soft for everyones taste. Location is superb - on a lovely little street just off Place Catlunya, right in the middle of everything. I thought the breakfast was brilliant !! The Arrow bus to the airport leaves from just around the corner every 10-15 minutes - so handy !!

Great hotel - but you pay for what you get .... as always ! Not for those on a tight budget.

Lack of help for luggage

the staff had a wonderfull attitude and were always willing to help. Not often found anywhere now so it was lovely to be greeted by a friendly face and made to feel very welcome
