Score from 79 reviews Good
The location may not please everybody but it was certainly an enjoyable novelty for me. The long feature window opened right onto the lovely old train station across the tracks with commuter trains pulling up or whizzing by regularly. The room was very spacey and included a separate sofa. The mattress was firm and good but as almost always blankets and not duvet. The bathroom was modern enough and the lighting good with only one being of the daylight fluoro type (tip: try carrying a couple of light bulbs as I do to switch over if necessary). The parking was fine if just a little muddy on this rainy day, but watch out when reversing to not go over the edge onto the tracks as there is no barrier. It's a little far to walk to the centre, especially on rainy days, but a very short drive.
You could find the train noise disturbing though they are remarkably quiet for their proximity and it is really only if they whistle as they whizz past. The smallish radiator was just a little inadequate for the room size on this cold day but it had been turned on in anticipation of my arrival. The location was not well signposted and is at the end of a narrow dirt laneway which runs along the railway tracks just through the signals coming out of town.
The location is good, rooms were spacious & spotless. Breakfast was good and included in the price. Railway station is opposite but bedrooms are well soundproofed. The family that run it were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it.
Cheap Helpful staff Comfortable bed Clean Fast internet Affordable alternative for a pilgrim who wants a good hot bath and decent sleep after staying in albergues on El Camino. Location is fine. Right at the small train station and ck. 5 mins walk from the town centre.
Everything was fine.
Helpful staff, reasonably priced.
Location is a little ways from town center with no real restaurant choices close by. But the bonus for those walking the Camino is that you have a good head start in the morning.
View to the railway station at evening
Sounds from the railway station at night
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money would stay there again.
Friendly helpful staff
They have taken the trouble to signpost the way to the hotel as they are a little out of the centre. Airy and spacious comfortable room. Very helpful advice of how to pick up the Camino route from the hotel in the morning.
The hotel cafe was shut for an evening meal on the day of the week we arrived so we had to go out and i was having trouble walking that day.
Lovely room at a very reasonable price. Staff had great English. The bar served great wine and beer at reasonable prices.
Wifi was not available in the rooms, only in reception and the bar. The location right beside the train tracks was not the nicest to sit out and look at while enjoying your beer but the noise didn't bother any of us during the night.
If you are walking the Camino thus hotel is great fir location as the Camino path is just beside ut. The hotel is a 10 min walk outside the town. The rooms are lovely and spotless. We had a lovely fish dinner included in the price...excellent value.
Norhing. Very pleased wi5h the hotel.
Clean, quiet and comfortable old hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Basis breakfast but gluten free items provided for one member of our group.
A little further from the centre of the town than we had realised
Everything fine including food.
A little out of town
phantastic service and on my oponion a real deal if you compare the prize and the friendlyness of the host just 700 m outside padron center with a good shortcut to the camino
very noisey, you can hear through the walls!
