The only thing that was lacking was tea/coffe making facilities in the room.
The Royal Plaza is a 'proper' hotel and stands out well above the myriad of typical tourist hotels, and the new breed of , 'venue' hotels popping up around the island.
Having being refurbished in the near past, the hotel provides 'old school' quality - both in terms of service and quality fixtures and fittings. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size, excellent bathrooms, (super water pressure) and amenities.
The rooms are complete with a stocked min bar, offering spirits snacks and wine, free in-room wi-fi that works, and very efficient, quiet, aircon. Room Service, Laundry service etc were all available. As was a selection of national - international TV Channels - the ones you may watch at home rather than the 'world' channels. e.g. BBC1 & 2 for the UK The room also had a balcony, with table and chairs.
The hotel is in a quiet residential area, just a 3 minute walk to the harbour. Public parking is available near by, but is relatively expensive.
Superb roof pool with stunning views of the Dalt Vila, sun beds and lounge area, as well as a restaurant.
I have stayed in hotels at twice the price that were much less comfortable and less convenient. The staff are professional & friendly - all in all excellent value for money.
Suitable for both leisure and business travellers.
