Hotel in a beatiful historic building right in the historical centre of La Orotrava. Lovely room with some antique furniture and breakfast in the old kitchen. Very convenient base for sightseeing La Orotrava and also for our day trips to the Teide, hiking in Orotrava valley and visit to Puerto de La Cruz and the Loro Parc. We reserved a car parking space through hotel by emailing them beforehand and this was ideal, about 200 metres away and free as we stayed longer than 3 days (and just as well as on-street parking was difficult and nearby parking garage expensive). Staff of hotel was very helpfull. Three kings parade passing very close to the hotel on evening of 5th January was a nice surprise.

Navigating the hire car through the 1-way system of Orotrava. Thankfull that we had pre-downloaded google maps and had gps on the tablet, would have been been a bit difficult without.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

A kettle in the in bedroom would have been great.

Very kind staff and the hotel is a beautiful old building. I would surely go back there again when visiting Orotava.

The hotel is difficult to reach by car. The road of the hotel is closed for traffic. The closest parking is the one near a supermarket. The centre of Orotava is all one-way streets, some of which are quite steep. The hotel has a private parking at a few hundred meters, but to reach it one needs a person of the hotel guiding you for several kilometers taking plenty of roads. Very complex!

The hotel is just lovely, you do not need mod cons as it is just such a beautiful old hotel. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and lovely windows that you can sit i'M. There is Internet access and a living room to relax in and a generous breakfast of cheeses and breads. I have Ceilacs disease and the hotel provided a range of cereal and breads for me. Nice people.

They need to provide better directions and if possible a map o the website to get to the hotel. The road it is situated on is pedestrianised and the old town has arrow streets and Ots of one way systems. Yu get used to it but on arrival it is very confusing and takes a long time to find the place as the signs to hotels do not lead you to the hotel! GPS does not work as they have changed the orientation of the one way. My advice is take the signposts to the Casa de Los Balcones as it is right around the corner.

The management were very friendly and helpful, also waiter service very good, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast room delightful full of character, very substancial food. lovely clean hotel.

We went to La oratava as Anna Belen was doing a concert there the hotel rural was only place that had rooms left .the setting is amazing as it is a reconstructeeded 400-500 year old house -villa and has been reconstructed in a original manor. The beds are very comfortable the breakfast is outstanding and the premises are wonderful the kitchin were you go to have break fast is a step back in time down side on the 1st morning water was freezing which I thought was due to central bouler being emty after a wait of 45 minutes or more we were able to shower ( 11am sh & next morning was the same when we were leaving they apologised and said this had happened before so why have they not sorted it out as it is not exactly basement prices 75 euroes per night staff were friendly to a point worth visit for the building if I was staying in la oratava again I would book sooner & find cheaper accomadation La oratava is a wonderfull little town well worthy of a visit breakfast chioce is great

Didndt like that shower was cold & was also cold on 2nd day . didnd like that when I said good bye & thank you to the gentleman who had greeeted us ( who was part of family that ran hotel he didnt answer or aknowldge me )

La posizione

Le stanze con una piccola finestra troppo alta per manovrarle, che affacciano in un patio rumoroso,con niente luce. L'assenza di personale la Domenica, e la sera.

Le personnel, la chambre originale et spacieuse, la literie et le cadre, avec un joli patio.

Le petit déjeuner, vraiment limité et peu gouteux. Le manque de fenêtre (mais la lucarne peut aussi faire partie de la chambre). L'hôtel est dans une rue en pente avec circulation, donc impossible de s'arrêter pour deposer ou mettre les bagages dans la voiture.

La arquitectura de todo el edificio,la decoración del interior,conservando el estilo rústico canario.Las habitaciones muy amplias y tranquilas. La ubicación del hotel excelente dentro del casco histórico,que es una una maravilla.Solo hice los desayunos servidos en esa cocina tan rústica,que te traslada a otros épocas.El desayuno de autoservicio variado y todo muy bueno.

La grifería de la ducha hay que arreglarla,pierde agua.

Tolles altes Haus liebevoll saniert. Gutes Restaurant mit gemütlichem Innenhof. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück.

El edificio,muy bien situado y con mucho encanto. La cama y almohada eran comodas.

El desayuno,que aunque muy variado,me hubiera gustado que tuviera menos productos industriales.

Buenas habitaciones, decoradas con gusto. Hotel silencioso. Buen restaurante en el que se pueden degustar productos típicos. Excelente relación calidad precio. Volvería sin dudarlo.

Aunque tienen un ordenador con internet sería deseable una conexión wifi para que cada huésped se conectase libremente. Desayuno correcto pero mejorable con pequeños detalles (no hay zumo natural. No hay cafetera express).

Nous avons apprécié l'architecture, très belle maison de maître, très typique. Très bonne nuit dans une chambre de caractère avec peinture sur les murs et plafond en bois.

Le petit déjeuner, triste Cette belle maison mérite une meilleure gestion.

Bare SÅ bra ! Vil du oppleve det ekte og gamle og historiske Tenerife så ta noen dager på dette stedet i Orotava. Den gamle byen med det utrolige kunstgalleriet av et rådhus. Selve Orotava Rural Hotel er som å gå hundrevis av år tilbake i tid. Vi ble som en familie med de unge som driver dette. Glem stresset på vestsiden av Tenerife.Marmorhotellene i vest er ikke Tenerife. Les historie og kom deg avsted til Orotava. Lett adkomst til Teides naturparker. Men unn deg sol og bad et sted i vest før du drar hjem. Orotava Rural Hotel er et funn. Jorunn og Finn
