We stayed in the top of the tower and had a truly memorable experience. Obviously much care has been lavished on this building and all the facilities were excellent.

The welcome, in English, made us feel instantly relaxed. The entrance is amazing with this unique blend of old and very stylish modern. Although temperatures outside were down to - 5C the hotel and our room were always comfortably warm at all times of day. Our room No. 4 was large with a modern en-suite bathroom, a large comfortable bed and all one could need. We had dinner in the hotel on 2 nights and the food was to a high quality and very tasty. The managers went the extra mile to be helpfull and advise on places to visit and avoid. The village is a little remote but fabulously scenic so close to the mountains and French border. We will definitely go there again soon.

Some less mobile people will find the stairs a little difficult but again the managers offered help with our bags.

This was like finding a rare jewel in a barren rock. It was an amazing restoration of a derelict village fortified house in wonderful countryside and it was friendly comfortable, peaceful and interesting.
