The peace and quiet and tranquillity ... and the great Jacuzzi

Evening meals could be a bit more adventurous and maybe feature more choice of typical Canarian food

Location is a bit isolated from shops, restaurants etc and hotel service is closed betw 15.00 and 19.00 which is too bad. Facilities are old and abit rusty. No sun because of the location north of mountains

Location, the buildings, the heated pool, the general charm, pleasant staff, breakfasts, sitting areas

dinner menu unexciting, suite very dark (we hit our heads frequently) It would have been pleasant to have coffee in front of log fire but it wasn't lit, limited TV channels

Very smart, athmospheric old hacienda located in the middle of banana plantations next to Arucas, beautiful small town. Good breakfast.

Mildew smell in wardrobe. Couldn't put clothes there.

Beautiful building and a very atmospheric place. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. A variety of spa facilities for those who like that and a pool.

Reception not very welcoming when we arrived, although there was friendly service in dining room. Tap water was marked undrinkable and no mineral water was provided in rooms. Water in coffee tasted very chlorinated. Guests were entitled to free admission at the nearby botanical gardens, but we were not told this, we just found it out from others. no local information provided in rooms. Tiny TV in room and no BBC World.

The management and staff were excellent. The hotel is convenient for the beaches but far enough away to give tranquillity in the setting of a banana plantation. It is near the mountains and motorway system which gives quick access to the coastal areas of the island. The hotel is a beautifully restored 19th century house with 18 rooms. Breakfast was a very good buffet. Above all, the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed only one night because the hotel did not have disabled facilities. Otherwise we would have stayed a full week. There was no air conditioning but the bedroom had a large ceiling fan.
