Hotel Dorada Palace

We were half board with two teenagers.The hotel was well situated near to both beach, shops and theme park. It was very comfortable, large rooms and the food was plentiful and good. Expensive to eat/drink there at lunchtime and cheaper/better nearby at many cafes. Staff were helpful. Beds very hard. No traffic noise. Large sky footie screen was a hit as was very small adult roof pool. Breakfast best meal.

We overlooked entertainment which went on til 12.00 every night and was incredibly loud. No getting away from it. Main pool very crowded with beds uncomfortable and too close together. More like good three star than four but would use again nevertheless.

Great for kids, entertainment every night, friendly staff and also helpful, the room was nice with 32" tv, cleaned every day, walking distance from main areas and portaventura, overall had a great stay and would def stay again if in the area

No Tea and coffee making facilities in room

Not at all 4 stars hotel .. run as fast as you can ... Very noisy all day and by midnight . Personnel in reception not supportive at all ( especially a lady called Maria :she was sour all the time and her English was not at al 4 stars hotel standard). Not enough parking places. We had to pay guarantee for everything : safe box , remote control , fridge key (!) .Faraway from beach If you are not the kind of person wich likes to spend holidays by the pool do not go to this hotel

The Hotel was well placed in Salou.The maid service was excellent.The pool area had shade if you wanted to escape the sun.

The food was ok but lacked choice at times. The twin beds in our room were very hard to sleep on.

Very modern hotel with a lot of pools and good location to Port Aventura.

We went half board and while there was a god variation of food the quality of it was very average. Would only go self catering if going back. Also the kid's entertainment/club was not great and my ten year old was bored after a day or two.

I would have liked it better if it was on the beach, sometimes when it was hot(most of the time) the thought of walking all that way back with towels etc and tired kids was too much because if your thinking of sunbathing or swimming in the hotel pool forget it! Every morning when i looked out of my balcony window at about 8 sometimes earlier people had towels on the sunbeds allready which shouldnt of been allowed so there was no way we could've stayed there, not nearly enough sunbeds to cater for amount of guests. The food was plentiful, we stayed full board and was never hungry and never needed to eat out. We had family room, tinest room ever ok if your girls but for me with 2 stinky boys and a husband, wasnt pleasant, and NO privacy!

The breakfast was lovely, rooms immaculate and not far from centre of town.

I went to level 6 to book a massage one of the days and was unsure what to do as there was nobody there?

Reception was well staffed and we never had to wait. The buffet style breakfast and dinner were excellent, plenty of choice for adults and children and a waiter to take you to your table in the evening. Lots of sunbeds around the pool and no trouble getting them. Very near the beach (walking distance) and near to Portaventura (cheap taxi) so location was just what we wanted.

The main pool was a good size but the children were not allowed toys/inflatables which takes alot of the fun away! Life guards were like pool police.These were allowed in the hotel's other pool, which was round the back and salt water!

front desk staff in reception were very unhelpful and dismissive. bar service in bar poor at night. pool area too small for number of people staying at hotel.
