Hotel San Camilo    

Good stop for dog owners going to/from the ports of Santander/Bilbao. Friendly staff but limited restaurant facilities especially at weekends.

Location to motorway good and the hotel was easy to find. Surrounded by nice grounds it was nice to walk around after a long journey. The short walk to Navarrete was easy and bars could be found with food. Room was large with high ceilings. The room was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient. We would recommend if you were walking the Camino as it is just off the walk and good value for money.

When we booked we did not know that there would be no food available as it was Sunday. We were informed on arrival and good suggestions were given by the receptionist. I concur with a previous comment, two keys would make life easier.

The garden was beautiful ans spacious.

We chose San Camillo for a second time as we knew it would be a good stopover on our journey from the Costa Blanca to the ferry in Bilbao. Bearing in mind that we are not seekers of an exciting night clubbing experience, we knew the hotel to be easily located from the motorway (very important considering the tailgating tendencies of the average homicidal Spanish lorry driver happening upon a confused tourist), very well located to offer a simple evening stroll into a quiet town and generally pleasant.

Two room keys would have been better so one could go out without leaving the other in the dark (they also work the electrics).

We had a large room with a mini-bar and a large bathroom. We got an early check-in.

We didn't realise the hotel was situated out of town. We were walking, and the footpath back to the hotel wasn't good. It was more the sort of hotel for weddings or conferences, but we didn't see any other guests. There were white cotton bedspreads on the beds, and they were not clean. I also didn't like the grubby-looking sisal flooring.

Breakfast was very expensive. Hotel did not seem like great value for the money.

They say on booking.com that they are on the road of the camino pilgrims but it is not truth.its at list 300m away.still it is worth the extra walk.

We are frequent users of this hotel. It has an excellent setting, wonderful car parking and is ideally located for overnighting near the motorway. Also a good base for visiting the La Rioja wine region. Staff are friendly and the rooms spacios and well appointed.

This particular stay was bad. On arrival there was no electricity and there is no back up generator. Reception had no idea what the problem was or how long it would take to resolve. The problem lasted for 1 and a half hours during particularly hot weather. The room airconditionier, which has complicated controls, was not functioning. There was forced air but no cooling in the cooling mode. This was probably due to a lack of gas in the compressor. Consequently a very bad night's sleep.

A good hotel with comfortable rooms in a large garden environment close to the village Navarrete. Excellent breakfast. Good quality / price ratio.

Es espacioso y agradable. La luz y la tranquilidad son perfectas para descansar tras una jornada de visitas y turismo. Las habitaciones son muy agradables y grandes, y los baños muy limpios y luminosos. El personal muy agradable y eficiente, nos ayudaron en todo, e incluso nos atendió la dueña del grupo de hoteles! El parquing gratuito y fácil para maniobrar nos fue comodisimo.

No poder quedarme más noches porque teníamos que volver a casa.

Se escuchaba mucho a la gente por el pasillo, y el precio que se me dio era mas caro que el de otro pareja con la que tambien ibamos.... 6 euros mas caro por dia, por los dos dias que estuve.
