Location (100 m walking to Cathedral and medieval city centre), car parking free of charge, very comfortable rooms & the fact that the hotel itself is a fantastic monument. Missing another room with comfortable sofas (other than the one in the 2nd floor which is fine but unfortunately in front of some room doors or the cafeteria/bar which is not really cosy) where one could relax, rest, read a book or newspapers, listen to some classical music background...

Perfect spot. The rooms are very new. This is not a thing you would expect in such a old building.

Great location, just down the street from the Cathedral square. We parked our car in the hotel and walked aroundf town for 3 days, great restaurants and access to the old town attractions. Our room was very bright and very comfortable, the consierge was most helpful with advise on restaurants and other activities.

The hotel is vary nice and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I will recomend this hotel to my friends. The breakfast is good but very expensive compared to what you can get in town. Out of 8 days I had breakfast only twice, the rest of 6 days I preffered the coffee shops in town.

The idea of staying in a converted convent was a big appeal. The imaginative conversion and use of space was very impressive. The room we had was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, especially as our spanish was poor! The location was excellent and the facilities were good. One of the attractions was the pool and as this was a winter break I did think I could spend time poolside, in the warm, with a book/paper. This was not possible because even though the pool and jacuzzi were pleasant, the pool area was very small and no real opportunity for relaxation. See above comment about the pool.

Despite not been included in the price of the accomodation, the breakfast was excelent. Very good location, near almost all turistic points of the city. To use the swimming pool the guests have to go outside the main building (we gave up of going there because of the cold).

I loved it. It is a great building. A real archeological monument. It is an ancient monastry but has been modified as a hotel with great care and sence of design. It was a privilege to stay in such a place and imbibe the atmosphere. I loved the court yards which are airy and spacious. It is located in best part of san Diago , so close to the cathederal and the square. The restaurant serves fine food. The chef took trouble of cooking something vegetarian for me and that was delicious. The staff in restaurant Miguel and monica in front office were superb.i will like to stay there again in future

The hotel couldn't be in a better location! The hotel staff were very helpful even coping with my embarrassing lack of Spanish! The building has been beautifully and conscientiously renovated from the old monastery to a now modern and comfortable hotel. None

Fantastic location right in the centre of the old town with plenty of on site parking - easy to find too. We did not eat in the hotel as plenty of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance

I loved the tranquility and space. A great retreat just minutes from the cathedral. Wonderful conversion of the old monastry with fabulous new stain glass windows. It was a real priviledge to stay there.

The building has been beautifully refurbished as a hotel. Luxurious environment. I think some amenities in the room would be nice --ability to make a cup of coffee or tea, for instance.

Parking is outstanding for a European city -- easy to find, spacious, easy to access. The rooms are nice, if a bit colorless. The building itself is lovely. What you really can't beat is the location, which makes reaching all of the interesting sights in Santiago very easy.

Great location just metres from the cathedral with private parking, essential here! This hotel is converted from a monastery with operational church attached. Large building but not too many rooms. Rooms are modern versions of monk's cells with simple furnishing and colours. We liked it a lot Cafeteria provided a good buffet breakfast which restaurant served a limited menu but well prepared and reasonably priced. Helpful but not fawning staff. Ac was not up to keeping our room fresh, especially at night and windows are small. Breakfast is an expensive extra - try for an inclusive rate. Not all rooms can be accessed without stairs so you need to check if access is a problem. Laundry takes 2 days which is silly as most people are on short stays!

I was once the manager of a 5 star hotel in Hawaii and this hotel goes to the top of my list. From the front desk to the house keping staff everyhting was top notch.I Was very impressed with theri professionalism along with their kindness, consideration and courtesy.I Will always stay at the Hotel SanFrancisco whenever I am in Santiago. The service there was excellent and the restaurants were great with a staff and menu that was second to none.My stay there was one of the best times of my life and I mean that sincerely. It is the place to stay, especially if you are a pilgrim who has walked the Camino and need a home away from home while you rest up and enjoy area and all it has to offer.Thank you to the hotel for the wonderful way they treated me.I Will always remember my stay there with a grateful heart and a smile on my face.I Was booked to stay here for 2 nights but was actually lucky enough to stay 4 nights.
