The reception service was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is located right on the edge of the old part of the city and it has plenty of secure parking. We had a meal in a restaurant and the service and quality was very good, although the meal was not cheap. The hotel itself is a converted monastery and there are elements of a Parador about it.Also, whilst it is on the odge of the old part of the city it was very quiet at night. The hotel is not the cheapest but we enjoyed our 2 night stay. Nothing specific to comment on.

Great location. Very close from the main atractions. The old building is beautiful. It was very noisy. Lot of noise coming from the floor above and also from doors slammed. I couldn´t have a nice and quite night of sleep as I was planning. Very poor bath products for this kind of hotel and no tea or coffe machine at the room.

The location was great. It was nice to be able to walk around in the area. We drove straight from Madrid Airport to your hotel arriving Dec 24th. It never occurred to us that all restaurants in the city would be closed that night. Your restaurant closed at 8:30PM which is when restaurants are usually opening. There was a small sign in the elevator showing the times the restaurant was open but we didn't notice it. It would have been nice if someone had warned us that we wouldn't be able to get dinner anywhere at the usual time. As it turned out, we had no dinner on Christmas Eve.

The actual building and the way they have modernize and adapted the convent into a modern hotel, respecting the old structure. The cafeteria had a very limited light food at night.

An excellent conversion from original old style building to modern hotel. Location of hotel perfect for old town Santiago and cathedral. Although we asked for a double bed, we were given a room with twin beds.

This hotel is stunning! The location was superb and fully accessible by auto. The accommodations were upscale and comfortable. The pool {indoors) is small and not warm. But no worries- there is a lovely jacuzzi along side it. The pool {indoors) is small and not warm. But no worries- there is a lovely jacuzzi next to it. For us, this hotel was a bit beyond our normal price range - but worth the splurge!

Location. Staff. Design. Noise early in the morning, because of staff cleaning rooms on wood floors.

I loved it. It is a great building. A real archeological monument. It is an ancient monastry but has been modified as a hotel with great care and sence of design. It was a privilege to stay in such a place and imbibe the atmosphere. I loved the court yards which are airy and spacious. It is located in best part of san Diago , so close to the cathederal and the square. The restaurant serves fine food. The chef took trouble of cooking something vegetarian for me and that was delicious. The staff in restaurant Miguel and monica in front office were superb.i will like to stay there again in future

The hotel couldn't be in a better location! The hotel staff were very helpful even coping with my embarrassing lack of Spanish! The building has been beautifully and conscientiously renovated from the old monastery to a now modern and comfortable hotel. None

A former monastery cautiously renovated into a modern upper standard hotel. Spacious, clean rooms and bathrooms, beautiful historic setting. Very good breakfast buffet. Unsatisfactory functioning of the airconditioning system that ventilated restaurant smells into the room. Doors without sealing devices that have a tendency to close loudly. A little impersonal.

Fantastic location right in the centre of the old town with plenty of on site parking - easy to find too. We did not eat in the hotel as plenty of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance

I loved the tranquility and space. A great retreat just minutes from the cathedral. Wonderful conversion of the old monastry with fabulous new stain glass windows. It was a real priviledge to stay there.

The building has been beautifully refurbished as a hotel. Luxurious environment. I think some amenities in the room would be nice --ability to make a cup of coffee or tea, for instance.

Parking is outstanding for a European city -- easy to find, spacious, easy to access. The rooms are nice, if a bit colorless. The building itself is lovely. What you really can't beat is the location, which makes reaching all of the interesting sights in Santiago very easy.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and delighted to be able to practise their English. The hotel was an amazing building and has been extensively modernised while keeping parts of the building beautifully restored. You have all the convenience of a modern hotel and all the wow factor of an extremely elegant traditional building. Even on a restricted budget I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for the feel good factor. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were lovely The evening meal was extremely good value and the waitress seemed thrilled to be serving us. The parking was safe and secure and the grounds pretty. Santiago de Compestalla was amazing so the location was superb. There were 2 free computers and printer The only niggle was that at over 16 euros each the continental breakfast was nearly as expensive as dinner (19.50 euros) so we didn't have it as it seemed over priced. I think the cooked breakfast was actually 22 euros, more than the dinner.

Great location just metres from the cathedral with private parking, essential here! This hotel is converted from a monastery with operational church attached. Large building but not too many rooms. Rooms are modern versions of monk's cells with simple furnishing and colours. We liked it a lot Cafeteria provided a good buffet breakfast which restaurant served a limited menu but well prepared and reasonably priced. Helpful but not fawning staff. Ac was not up to keeping our room fresh, especially at night and windows are small. Breakfast is an expensive extra - try for an inclusive rate. Not all rooms can be accessed without stairs so you need to check if access is a problem. Laundry takes 2 days which is silly as most people are on short stays!

“This is a wonderful converted building in a beautiful old city. It took around an hour to walk around the hotel on the tour. In that time we only saw two other couples briefly. The food in the best restaurant was top quality silver service, and whilst pricey, represented good value. Breakfast was not quite as good, but there was an extravegent choice of quality food. My Spanish is limited, but almost everyone spoke English. The staff, with the exeption of one waitress in the breakfast room, couldn't have been freindlier or more helpfull. ” Peter, London |
