Friendly service. Very good value for money. Hair-dryer available in the bathroom. Excellent location only about 200 metres from the bus terminal, tram stop and the San Mames Stadium. City centre can be reached within 10 minutes on foot.

The staff were friendly. The internet was better than the 3 and 4 star hotels we stayed in the previous week. This hotel is good value, clean and next to the bus station. The hotel was nice and peaceful

The hotel is very convenient to the Bilbao bus station, which was great for taking the ALSA bus as a comfortable, inexpensive, and easy way to travel from Madrid to Bilbao. Also the nearby bus station is the terminus for an inexpensive bus to the airport. And it was a pleasant walk thru the park to the Guggenheim. So this hotel's location is great!

Be prepared to carry you bags up a flight of stairs to get to the reception, but the man at the reception came down to help us, which was very thoughtful of him.

Very lovely and friendl staff. The position is in front of stadium St Mames and very close to the bus station and a couple of bus stops where you can catch the tram for going to Guggleneihm and the centre. Good value for money anyway.

The hotel staff was very friendly with us. The housekeeping cleaned our room everyday and changed our sheets and towels. The price was economical. The room was warm. We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is right next to the bus station and 20 minutes walking to the old town.

Location. Very close to Estadio San Mames and easy to go to city center, Bizcaya bridge or bus terminal.

At 43 euros a night for a single room, this was excellent value. The room and bathroom were basic but clean with good shower. The hotel is within a short walk of Bilbao bus station, so handy if you're travelling to/from the aiport (just 1.75 euro) or major towns in N Spain or S France. It is also right next to Athletico Bilbao stadium if you're watching a game. There are tram stops just a stone's throw from the hotel, connecting across the city including the Guggenheim museum. Buses run across the city. There is a lift from reception but NB there are a few stairs to get your baggage up to there in the first place.

The hotel is not in A1 location, which is why it's cheaper. It's half mile from centre of town and over 1mile from the old part of the city, north of the river, which is the most alive part of Bilbao at night and the tram and buses don't run all that late. You have to leave your room key at reception and have no key for the outside door so have to ring the buzzer outside but there is a 24hr concierge so should not be a problem.

Good budget hotel. Very close to terminus station, metro and tram stations basically a few steps from front door. Quiet. No AC... A bit stuffy in room could use a fan.

I arrived by bus from Madrid and then left by bus to the airport the next day, so its location 2 minutes from the bus terminal was the reason I selected San Mames. The price was good for a single room that includes private bathroom. The room was clean and the toiletries were a bonus.

I wish they had at least one English-speaking TV channel.

Daytime receptionist was very unfriendly and rude. Had no people skills. There's not a great selection of places to eat nearby. The bedroom door didn't feel secure. I was reluctant to leave anything valuable in the room.

Nice place to stay.

Our room's windows looked inside the spanish traditional backyard, so your smell and hear the people, who lives nearby. I must admit however, that during those 2 nights we stayed there it brought us nearly no inconvenience.

The location is excellent, close to the bus terminal, metro, museums and football stadium. There are a reasonable amount of restaurants in the area and many more within an easy walking distance. I was transferring from bus to airport and this place is fantastic for an overnight connection for the price.

It's a little noisy and no a/c would be an issue during August.

Very good location, good value for price, english speaking staff, clean. Noise is usually a problem in spanish cities, but this street is totally silent at night. I didn't even need to use my ear plugs. But still the crowded areas can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.

In this particular case it was not a problem, as the weather was quite moderate, but during very hot days and nights the lack of air conditioning can cause discomfort.

Location for easy access to Bus Station for my onward travel the following day. Room basic but clean and felt secure while in residence. Staff very helpful.

Excellent location, only 100 meters from bus terminal. Hotel is not trendy or hip and looks a bit dated, but is comfortable and has quiet, big rooms. Plenty of breakfast opportunities and bars nearby. Helpfull and friendly staff. Very good choice when arriving late or needing to leave early. Airport bus on terminal location, costs only 1,35 euro for the 30 minute drive.

Firstly how friendly the staff was, then location is just perfect, 2 minutes from bus station where easy reach Bilbao airport, just a step from Tram stop and metro station, if I go back to Bilbao I won't hesitate to stay over at San Mames'

It was excellent overall
