San Sebastian Playa  

It was right on the seafront and handy to many bars and restaurants. The hotel has old-world charm, loved the small balcony, the only one we had in 3 weeks in Spain. There is a handy laundrymat round the corner and a small grocery store. The Renfe train station is an easy walk (uphill) and the train to Barcelona takes only 20-30 minutes, depending on the train. The Monbus airport express bus stop is a bit further away but not too far - even for a 70 year-old with luggage! Staff are very friendly and helpfull and hotel was very quiet. Also nice to have access to a laptop with the internet right in the lobby - at no charge too! Lovely quiet area with a small pool right near the lobby, perfect for reading too.

It was the most expensive hotel in 3 weeks in Spain, hence the reason we didn't bother with breakfast, just bought fruit and juice or ate in a coffee/croissant place. However, with the film festival being on, perhaps the prices were higher than usual.

Welcome; as expected - helpful, cheerful, welcoming. Room; clean, good view, comfortable, relaxing. Parking: Tight to get into and out of but it was available and secure. Walking signage was excellent. Breakfast: Good quality and plentiful. Coffee unexpectedly good (no filter thank goodness).

One thing we didn't like: Noise transmission between rooms!! To hear next doors conversation and know their nationality was unacceptable. Needs sorting to make a great stay, perfect! Driving to the location was not as well signed as it could be.

Lovely hotel just by the beach, staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comforable.

Very noisy, get ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Internet unstable and slow, not good if you have to work from there. Hotel restaurant sub standard.

Position of Hotel is first class.Sitges is a very nice resort.

This nis not a complaint as such but a factual comment.Whilst the cold breakfast is very good ,the hot breakfast is not worth the staff cooking it.The breakfast is cold,unappetising and sad looking.We followed up our visit to the San Sebastian with a stay at the Abba Sants hotel in Barcelona.The same situation existed there.I Would add I am not a professional complainant but if someone (you) does not offer this constructive advice it is going to cost the San Sebastian business in future.

The location was fantastic, just a few steps to the beach and the shops and restaurants of sitges at our doorstep. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean with a balcony onto a quiet street and a side view of the sea. We fell asleep each night to the sound of waves. We had a lovely stay there and are happy to recommend it highly

The bed was amazing! We had three nights to relax before heading to Barcelona after five weeks of travelling and it was the perfect place todo so. Helpful staff and well located hotel. Highly recommended!

The location was second to none, a short stroll to all the top eating places and on the beach. Front reception staff were pleasant.

We had the best suite in the hotel however the refrigerator and wifi didn't work. Not having a refrigerator in 30 degree heat was unpleasant. The breakfast was very poor, eggs and bacon were cold and restaurant staff unhappy and unhelpful.

It's location was fabulous. Great restaurant. Pool in garden was lovely, providing you get there early as the sun only shines on the 6 sunbeds in the morning. Room was great

I booked to stay at the San Sebastian Playa for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. The first room I was allocated was terribly disappointing. Not only did it not have a sea view as I had been led to believe, but it looked out onto an apartment building about 8 metres away which necessitated having to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. The room was also supposed to have a balcony but this room had a Juliette balcony which could not be stepped onto. I told the staff that I was very unhappy and was impressed by their commitment to finding a solution. The manager on duty spent quite some time seeking alternatives but in the end said she could not do anything that day but they would move me the next. This they did into a room at the front of the hotel which was perfect. I would go back again but only if the room has a sea view.
