Staff helpful especially when ordering taxis etc Perhaps staff should point out operating hours of funicular/cable car?

Loved the lounges and the views are fabulous rooms comfortable and spacious.

Having to get a taxi into the town as the little railway was broken, they said there would be a private bus for but just at the weekend.

My business meetings were at a location in town. It would have been difficult to stay at this hotel without a car and still get to and from the meetings. Difficult to get parking in the evening.

The all round panoramic views of the sea and adjoining coastline, large un-cluttered lounges, with plenty of quiet rest areas, homely atmosphere. Eager to help staff attitudes, all very friendly/attentive. It appears that the handicapped clients are well- cared for with the amenities/access etc. However, any handicaped bedroom facilities were not checked.

The unwelcome smell of sewage from the treatment plant - (situated on the cliff just below the dining room level,) this permeated into our bedroom at times, and was not at all pleasant! This needs to be addressed asap. As this was not at the 'peak' of a hot summer holiday period.

The view from the room was beautiful and the remoteness of the hotel ensured it was free of street noise at night.

The distance from the town made it hard to get in and out of town for dinner. The funicular rail stopped running at 8:00 which meant you need to drive in to town for dinner. The beds were also not very comfortable.

Smoky smell in room

The view is the best, you really can't beat it. We had a corner room facing the bay, not the town and it was excellent. Right over the lighthouse. The guy who checked us in was so accommodating. The wait staff in the bar area were very nice.

Since the location is up in the mountain, it is not convenient to the town. The funculiar (tram up the hill) ends fairly early in the night so will need to take a taxi (roughly $10euro, super quick). Basically, once you head to old town for Pintxos (which you will do) you must commit for the day/night. Can't come and go from the hotel unless you don't mind paying multiple taxis fees. Also, this is connected to an "amusement park". So, kids a plenty running and screaming about. We wanted to hang in the bar area and there were groups of kids just yelling and throwing balls, parents doing nothing, and this is at night.

The room stank of cigarrettes. WiFi so poor that my laptop would not connect at all. I am completing this feedback from a hotel in Santiago where the connection is excellent. As was the campsite I stayed in last night. A campsite is better than a **** hotel.

Spectacular location. We were off-season and had bad weather unfortunately.

No doubt that it is the best place to stay if you're looking for nice view of "La Concha". If the day is sunny, the breakfast is just in front of the Cantabrico Sea, and nice picture of La Concha.

The view was amazing. Like a dream. But it is a hotel for relaxation only. Short trips. Nothing much to do up.

Very isolated position, someway from town centre, the weather was very poor during our visit so needed car or taxi to go to shops or restaurants in the evenings.

Wedding noise and chatter loud and late - unsatisfactory four a four star claimed hotel. Carpet in the room was soiled.

Location and good price other than the restaurant

Too much money for dinner and breakfast. But it is a 4 star after all. We had to find somewhere else to eat. It would have been nice to have different price ranges for meals available.

The staff were excellent, very helpful. The location was like being on top of the world. The room was a nice size.

The furnishings were a bit in need of updating. The TV had every language but no BBC or CNN, they said It works sometimes. But not the 4 days I was there.

We did not realize that the hotel was a funicular and bus ride away from the city center.You could also order a taxi (11 euros each way) . We would have preferred to be closer to town- where all the activity is. You are bit of a captive at the hotel. dinner and breakfast is very expensive. The funicular does not open until 11am and last ride up is at 8:45 pm,when all restaurants are open for dinner...,!!! You also have to pay 5 euros per day for wifi???
