Sant Joan is a family-run hotel in the heart of Catalonia’s Costa Brava, surrounded by 5920 ft² of gardens. It features a jacuzzi and a heated outdoor swimming pool, open from April until October. This renovated, 18th-century cottage building is half a mile from the beach in the historic area of San Joan de Palamós. The quiet Platja de Castell Beach is a 5-minute drive away. Rooms at Sant Joan feature satellite TV, air conditioning, a safe and a private bathroom. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and also a computer for guests' use. There is a free outdoor parking lot for up to 9 cars and a private garage, available for an extra fee. The French border is 62 miles north of Sant Joan and the historic city of Girona is 28 miles away. Guests can visit the Fish Museum, Port and Fish Auction in Palamós. Hotel Rooms: 22

We enjoyed everything about this hotel. From the moment we arrived to when we left (& we decided to add extra 3 nights to our stay) we were totally relaxed, by the staff and the hotel facilities. Breakfast which was served until 12 was great, varied & fresh, Plenty of fruit, cereals, cakes, pastries, cheeses, cold meats & yoguerts). Staff were always eager to help with anything we may require & we were always met with a smile. The room was cozy & comfortable & very relaxing. We stayed in 3 other hotels in Spain & this was the only one with safety deposit box in room. The garden was immaculate, loads of different areas to sit and relax, either by the pool on sun loungers, in the shade, or on garden swings. We did not want to leave this hotel

The staff was incredibly helpful, very friendly and we felt right at home. The room was an ok size but very comfortable. The wifi connection was excellent!! Great location from a bustling city center. The pool was warm and clean. It was very family friendly. The staff was wonderful!!

Friendlly, helpful staff. Lovely pool area with a garden, a hot tub (although it's not kept that hot), lounge chairs in the sun and shade. Attractive hotel. The family that owns the place is really wonderful. Breakfast is terrific with lots of choices -- breads, meats, a couple of hot dishes, fresh fruit. Wide choice of times, too -- you can eat anytime from 8:30 a.m. to noon. While Palamos is set up for tourists with plenty of hotels and restaurants, it's more like a real Spanish town than some of the other towns around there. You see families in the street, local residents in the bars. We had an absolutely lovely stay. The hotel is about 10 minutes from town and 15 from the beach but I ended up really enjoying the walk each day.

Two things are exceptional: The friendliness of staff and especially the owners. The owner was more than welcome to provide assistance and do whatever possible to help us in suggesting perfect restaurants not only in Palamos but the whole of Girona area, nice routes to follow, places of interest to visit, beaches, even suggest what to see, what to do and in Barcelona. You just visit the place and she will provide all the information you may require. She is unbelievably helpful and knowledgable. The second exceptional thing is the breakfast! Quality, variety and quantity. It's a breakfast you will not find in a 5 star hotel. You name it, it's there. The location is fine, just 900 metres from the beach, and a perfect base to use for your trips in Girona area and Costa Brava in general. Palamos is the perfect place to enjoy real, good quality Spanish food at very good prices.

La atención por parte de todo el personal del hotel. Para los dormilones amantes del café, como nosostros, es un gran punto a su favor que el desayuno sea hasta las 12 del mediodia y el café sea excelente. Repetiremos!!!

Ha superat les nostres expectatives. Un 10 per tot el personal. Excel.lent per descansar i desconnectar de veritat. La pròxima vegada que fem vacances per aquesta zona no buscarem cap altre hotel, tornarem al Sant Joan. I el recomanarem als nostres amics. El pàrking té poques places ( tanmateix hem pogut aparcar sempre). La resta no té cap crítica.

Hotel muy tranquilo, regentado por una familia muy agradable. El hotel está muy bien conservado y la limpieza es excepcional. Desayuno muy abundante, variado y hasta las 12 del mediodía. El personal del hotel es muy competente y se preocupan al máximo por los huespedes.

Estamos encantados con los dias que hemos pasado en Palamós y con el hotel, sobretodo con el trato tan personal y amable que nos han dado,por lo que lo recomendaremos a familiares y amigos. Por encontrar algo el aparcamiento que es escaso, pero no es un problema que no se pueda solucionar.

La estancia en el hotel ha resultado muy agradable. El ambiente con el que nos hemos encontrado ha sido muy familiar y relajante. Se respira tranquilidad en su jardín y el spa y su piscina son perfectos para refrescarse. Las habitaciones son muy bonitas y limpias. Las vistas a la montaña nos han gustado. Y lo mejor de todo, su buffet libre del desayuno, nos ponía las pilas para comenzar el día. Las playas de alrededor son preciosas.¡ Ha valido la pena conocer este lugar, lo recomiendo!

En este hotel todo está bien. No he podido encontrar una pega, algo que no me haya gustado. El trato con los propietarios y con el personal en general es excelente. La limpieza es de diez. El aparcamiento gratuito así como la caja fuerte aunque esta no es necesaria pues es prácticamente imposible que te roben. También disponen de garaje a un precio muy bueno. Las instalaciones y el jardín están muy cuidadas. Los precios de las consumiciones, buenos. No hay ruidos, es muy tranquilo. El desayuno es de una gran calidad y variedad, excelente. En fin, lo recomiendo encarecidamente pues seguro que a nadie le defraudará.

De eigenaars van dit hotel zijn enorm gastvrij en vriendelijk. Het personeel is correct en vriendelijk. Het hotel is buitengewoon schoon en het zwembad en sauna zin uitstekend. zij verdienen dan ook niet voor niets een michilin ster.We hopen dat we er volgend jaar weer terecht kunnen. P.S. Het ontbijt is van zeer grote klasse en alles is zeer vers. De ontbijtruimte is een gezellige ontmoetingsplaats voor de gasten. Zij verdienen van ons dan ook een dikke tien.

Hemos estado 6 de relax total, el desayuno es hasta las 12 por lo que puedes descansar hasta tarde y el desayuno es impresionante, muchisima variedad y calidad. El personal del hotel muy atento y amable en todo momento pendientes de tu comodidad. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

El excelente trato de los propietarios y de todo el personal, el cuidado y el buen gusto de todos los detalles y la limplieza de las habitaciones. La ubicación está un podo a desmano del paseo marítimo, pero le da una enorme tranquilidad.
