Hotel Casa 1800 Granada is a restored 17th-century building in central Granada, just over a quarter mile from the Alhambra. It offers free afternoon snacks, free Wi-Fi and a typical Andalusian patio.

The location, the setting, the old andalusian building, the bed comfort
If I have to pick one, it would be not having a view from our room
The location is great if you want to stay in Albayzin, its next to Mirador San Nicholas and a few mins walk away from the market street which has quite a few restaurants and leads onto Plaza Nueva. They have parking next door. They serve breakfast too.
Slightly small room, but guess its comes with the territory.
Clean, comfortable well run hotel, pleasant staff and breakfast was a real treat. Would recommend this hotel set in a brilliant part of the city.
Clean room. Cosy environment. Nice staff! Close to good restaurants and San Nicolas
The Wifi was free but the signal failed frequently
STAFF WHO ARE MOST PLEASANT AND WHO GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE YOUR STAY A PLEASURE. GREAT LOCATION AND ATMOSPHERE. BUS AT THE DOORSTEP AND BARS NEARBY.
Helpful staff. Comfort of room. Fascinating area.
Unreliable wi-fi. Three recommended nearby restaurants all closed.
- easy secure parking with clear instructions - warmth and detail of service - carefully prepared high quality breakfast - quiet and safe neighborhood - great bedding and linen - double windows to shut out coldness and noise - room size (superior double is great!)
- no facility to make hot water for tea in room - cannot prevent water from spilling to the floor when showering
I really liked everything but if I had to highlight one thing then it would be the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
Staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Facilities excellent.
Location, staff, atmosphere. Couldn't have chosen a better place in Granada. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent services (laundry for free, sell stamps), very central location, very nice room
Location: The hotel is a restored old mansion located in the Albayzín, an ancient Moorish neighborhood. Very Andalusian building, full of character! Few minutes walk from Cathedral and old bazaar. Some rooms have even the view of Alhambra but the most magic view to Alhambra, especially at sunset, Saint Ncilocas is just a few steps away. Try not to miss watching Alhambra at sunset at Saint Nicolas view point. It is a must when you visit Granada! Food and breakfast: Breakfast was excellent and delicious! The hotel serve two local alcoholic drinks and local candies in the lobby. Room: There are basic rooms with the view to courtyard. There are also larger and pricier rooms with good view. Even some of them has view to Alhambra. Try to book bigger rooms with view. You won't regret it. Parking and direction: Although hotel is in a historic area, it has a big and modern parking lot. but do not forget to send your car plate number to hotel to arrange for access to historic part. There is traffic restriction in Albayzin and police would not let you in the area unless you have your car registered by the hotel. The hotel send you direction to hotel. Do not forget to use their instruction for using GPS. I noticed that GPS would not direct you well to your address in some parts of Granada, unless you use the hotel instruction. Staff: I cannot say enough about the hotel staff dedication to providing the best service to their guests. It was the best customer service I saw in entire my last two trips to Spain. So kind and so caring. I usually do not ask hotels' suggestions for restaurant and shows, because hotels are mostly looking for the best kickback not necessarily the best guest satisfaction. However, based on the reviews that I had read in TA, I asked the hotel concierge to reserve a restaurant with the view to Alhambra and also reserve for gypsies' dance show. And we did not regret it!
Very helpful receptionists! Delicious breakfast! Great location!
Really good location, secure parking, charming & helpful staff, lovely building, very comfortable, warm & clean, great breakfast.
The staff was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the location and views.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff in the middle of the Albaicin area. The narrow streets can be hard to get around in a car, but a great map is provided upfront. Nice, clean rooms. The microbus stops directly in front of the hotel. Good breakfast, served with a smile.
The staff there were so friendly. We were treated as their family and friends. They talked to us with a sincere smile and they always did their best to help us. We arrived the hotel early in the morning, the rooms were not ready, which we expected. However, unexpectedly we were offered a free breakfast at the cozy warm breakfast room. That made us feel we were in heaven after a terrible over-night train experience. They even offered us a free laundry service although we only stayed 3 nights. The staff at the reception helped us to search the info of the restaurants, train and bus tickets. 4 of us agreed that this is the best hotel we ever had in our life so far.
very nice staff, excellent breakfast, nice and clean rooms, great location. Personal approach in everything.
rooms are a little dated and you can hear other guests. But it is all part of the personality of the hotel and therefore not a real problem for me.
I never expected anything as good as this. A real oasis in a beautiful city with great staff. Muchas Gracias!
The designs is flawless if you are looking for the Albaycin feel. Wifi signal was great no issues, decoration&design all fantastic...staff (Elena) was very very helpful
Found items from previous guest in mini-bar & room was cleaned by housekeeping but not very well(clothes thrown randomly in one area for example)
Hotel had the four C's - character, charm, comfort and cleanliness. Fantastic staff. Excellent location with easy walking distance to the town centre if you aren't up to the steep(ish) walk back up there is an inexpensive local bus (€1,20) stopping right outside the door. However views couldn't be beaten. Our room (room 11) had views from the window directly to the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada.
Wifi was provided free and had a good signal but was prone to drop out when using in our room which could be frustrating. Talking to reception staff it seems that Internet coverage in the area was patchy (not surprising given the hilly landscape). Wifi issues understandable but happy to make the trade-off for the fantastic views we had.
That this is a real place in the romantic Albaycin. The traditional building is in itself delightful and Elena and her staff were delightful. The house keeping is excellent, lovely cotton/ linen sheets and copious towels. Breakfast was fresh and varied so that in our six days we were not bored. However the cinnamon sprinkled oranges were a daily 'must'. Her mother's liquiers are indeed also very special... We certainly would book again. As will you. Do try it.
Great view of the Alhambra from our penthouse window. Brilliant location with bus transport available almost outside the front door. Excellent helpful staff.
Everything was good.
Location and staff. Personal service
Lovely small hotel in the Albayzin district, just steps from the bus stop for those who don't like walking up hills. Beautiful common areas, delicious breakfast, helpful and friendly reception desk staff and clean, comfortable room and bed. They even did my husband's laundry for free! Good communication prior to stay as well. Highly recommended!!!
Our room was just a bit dark but no complaints.
