Score from 2565 reviews Excellent
the position of the hotel, the dia right across the street
the incompetente of the staff, the cleaning
Location, bar staff
Lack of maintenance - leak from floor above took 2 days to fix and lack of hot water. Cold room and no one assisted us with the heating even though we asked reception multiple times
They unexpectedly upgraded us to a suite, which was quite nice and included a jacuzzi tub and separate shower, king bed and separate sitting room. The regular room were in later had a more comfortable (newer) bed and a better view and newer decor. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The second night, the hot water went out in the suite section of the building. I had gone out all night and really needed a shower and was unable to take one. They were unable to fix it so we needed to transfer to another room. The breakfast is not worth the high price; I recommend going to any one of the nearby cafes.
There some parts of the hotel that aren´t renewed. The rooms on that part are very bad for 4stars hotel.
I would congratulate the maids . Our room was spotless the towels replaced and the shower gels etc all kept upto scratch. Excellent shower.Comfortable beds with good quality bed linen. All staff were efficient and helpful. The buffet breakfast was well laid out with plenty of choice.
The fried eggs at breakfast were cold! The glass bathroom floor with sea bed effect not a good idea The hotel lobby/lounge not very comfortable or inviting. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room .
Location Plenty to do Metro
Price of drinks in the hotel bar.
Location good for being central to where we needed to visit.
Room was much too hot. We could cope with the small room and lack of view but turned down thermostat but room too hot for sleeping. Asked for extra pillows but they never arrived.
Location was good Polite personal especially during the breakfast time.
.very Dark room .Used carbert..( On the floor of my room) looked to be dirty .dirty windows in my room
Excellent location right on top of Santo Domingo Metro station (line 2). Loads of shops and restaurants etc a five minute walk away.
The hotel decided my credit card wasn't valid a couple of hours before I arrived (even though I used it there three days before and there was credit on it). The problem was sorted by the hotel staff though.
Location and bar. Wonderful sheets
Tap in my bath didn't work Broken .First room I was offered was full of old smoke.
the extra sleeping bed, because it's bunk bed
Location is amazing
Facilities inside the hotel and staff response
Good central location Friendly & helpful staff Excellent breakfast Clean rooms Comfortable bed
Faulty window wouldn't stay closed so had to call staff to solve problem. Then room too hot & no air. If window opened again, same problem to close it. Needed window closed to dull noise from outside. Shower drainage not good.
the room had a strong smell to smoke, and ventilation was quite poor.
This hotel is in the heart of everything. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions: Royal Palace, Grand Avenue, Puerta del Sol, There's also a market across the street from the hotel as well as restaurants and a subway station. Breakfast buffet was included in the price of my room.
The room was very nice and comfortable. My only compliant was my window opened to the fire escape, but since I was only in the room long enough to sleep, I didn't mind.
Amazing! Hope to be back
Nice location , the room was comfort & larg size .
No view from window .
all personnel very helpful and friendly, centrally located, places of interest within walking distance..
Very nice location and good hotel
Shower leaked onto wall leaving damp in the main room. Patches on walls where quick fix repairs carried out.
I would not recommend this hotel. Booked Queen size bed, was given a single with the excuse it was a smaller room and this was still in my advantage. Wi-Fi was the lowest Internet speed I have experienced since 1998, practically unusable. Paid for breakfast yet the lady at reception claimed I had not. Their excuse was that she was new. English at the front desk still a challenge. Bathrooms looked old and shabby (needed repair too) and not too convinced about cleanliness, avoided the bath tub. No view whatsoever other things shabby roofs, so don't expect any glamour.
Inspite of booking a no smoking room, the smell of the room was terribly awful. I complained and the staff said they could do nothing. Only the cleanner was worried about and gave us an air freshner, which was useless.
The hotel has good accomodations and is located in a very nice spot in Madrid.
The price to include breakfast was higher than expected.
Location of the hotel, breakfast
Soiled floor in the room
very good location and good value for money..
if you are going to sleep afternoons forget it cause it is noisy
