This is the second time we've stayed in the Hostal Santuario in the last 2 years. San José is a fantastic little town in Cabo de Gata National Park, and definitely the place to stay! You have easy access to the park for trekking, beach, etc., but also you find yourself in a lively little town. The hotel has an incredible location in the center of the town, only a minute walking from shops, restaurants and bars...and only two minutes walking to the beach. We (again) asked for a room on the second floor with a balcony, and these rooms have views of the sea, as well as the beautiful mountains in the park. The breakfast is incredible! The selection is so huge, it's almost impossible to decide what to eat. The staff is also extremely friendly, and willing to help with any questions. We go to Cabo de Gata/San José every Easter holiday, and this is our new home there!

Wonderful hotel, beautifully, simply and tastefully decorated, very helpful patron and excellent breakfasts. Location ideal for San Jose beach and for Cabo de Gata area.

Bath was dangerous with the shower in the middle of the bath I fell out of the bath.

For a small hotel it had all the comfort, ambience and decor of a high-end boutique hotel. Even though we did not manage to eat in their restaurant, the menu and the setting looked fantastic. Literally a very short walk to the beach and in certain rooms you could just glimpse the sea, we were lucky to have one of those rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Will definitely return!

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean. In fact the Hotel was very clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent. If we every go to San Jose again we would certainly stay at Santuario

The bedroom was very well appointed with a tv, fridge and hairdryer. We had a balcony which was a pleasant place to sit. The dining terrace was the best place to eat in the town and the breakfasts were excellent.

Nothing but to be really picky, there was no decent mirror, only one over the bathroom basin which was poorly lit.

Location in particular was amazing. Wi-fi didn't really work unfortunately, despite being advertised. But there was a computer in the lobby that was available to use and there was never a wait to use it. Breakfast was great! Great value and location!

The doors are really noisy. The sounds of people entering and exiting their room throughout the night and early in the morning is annoying. The beds are also a bit hard.

Really impressed with everything about this so called hostel.I Stay in this location every year and have stayed in the 4star hotel nearby and in all honesty I prefer this hostel .top rate for cleanliness and location.I Also enjoyed the fact that there were tables outside where you could eat which is rather important to Brits.There isn't a pool as one of it' neighbours has but all in all this was the better option.I Would deffinatley book there again.

I thought the Hotel was nicely designed and the included breakfast was very satisfying. It's literally a 30 second walk from San Jose's main street and the rooms were fine.

Not a lot but there were a few small disappointments. One was that the wi-fi did not work (not a big problem if you want to relax in San Jose) and the other was that the restaurant was closed (again, no big problem when San Jose is full of places to eat).

The location of the hotel is fantastic! On the corner of the "main street" of San José, and 3 minutes walking to the beach. When we arrived, we were impressed by the patio and lobby. We asked the guy at check-in if a room with a balcony was possible, and he put us in a fantastic room on the second floor (room 213) with a fabulous view of the mountains and the sea. The room's furnishings aren't super modern, but still quite nice with lots of storage. The bathroom was nice, and also large. The breakfast room/restaurant is very nice, and the selection is great for a couple of days. And finally, the staff is super! Everyone is helpful and cheerful. This will definitely our new home in San José/Cabo de Gata!

awsome!! it's clean, it's cheap and they are kind and professional. Modern, confortable and they have wi fi, free parking and the place around is simply fantastic! large breakfast included, very tasty!

Es un hotel pequeño, tranquilo y bien atendido. El personal, sin ser agobiante, es muy amable. Ofrecen un buen desayuno y el precio es asequible. Bastante bien situado.

El personal muy amable, atentos, y conocían muy bien la zona (nos dieron más información que la chica de Información Turístico). Está muy bien situado, cerca de todo. Al ser temporada baja, no tuvimos problemas a la hora de aparcar.

No tengo nada negativo que decir!

Ubicación perfecta, cerca de la playa, de los restaurantes, de las tiendas... Personal muy amable. Instalaciones limpias, desayuno correcto. Fantástica relación calidad-precio.

La ubicación es muy buena y andando puedes llegar a la playa y a la zona de restaurantes. La habitación estaba bien, con mucha luz natural. El personal es muy agradable y atento.

Por decir algo el desayuno es justito y falta luz en el cuarto de baño. El precio me parece caro por ser un hostal, supongo es porque era Semana Santa.

La ubicación, la tranquilidad que se respira dentro del hostal, la limpieza, la cama, el personal.

las habitaciones son pequeñas, aunque cómodas, la mayoría tienen balcón, pero la nuestra no, ese fue el único pero.
