Score from 1959 reviews Wonderful
In the heart of Madrid, with private parking for your car. Excellent specious room and spacious bathroom.
The key cards had a little bit of difficulty to activate doors, elevator and parking access. We had to change them a couple of times. According to hotel's policy they charged full amount 2 weeks before arrival and because I forgot it, I asked for a cancellation which was not possible
Location Room (huge bed!) Cleanliness
Got a top floor suite, lovely room, lots of space and huge windows, big balcony. Nice and quiet, tucked away from the main tourist areas but close to Plaza de Espana. Hugely recommended, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, everything was fantastic.
Property of main thoroughfare so it was quiet. Two blocks to Metro station. Super helpful staff. The wait staff opened the breakfast earlier than normal time on our last day since we had early train.
This hotel is a bit out of the lively downtown area. It is across the street from an elementary school and is in a more residential area. The parking is very convenient and safe, however. Also tour bus is a short walk away. We had a top floor room with lovely large terrace, but alas, it rained. Bathroom is tiny!
Tiny bathroom, distance to tourist areas.
We arrived early due an early flight but the reception clerk was most accommodating. We were pleased with our suite complete with a balcony. It is well placed to all the main attractions all of which are within easy walking distance.
Nothing not to like.
Absolutely no noise from outside, plus thick walls. Good beds and very clean good space. Efficient air conditioner, good safe, you need to ask for the kitchen utensils including electric jug, as they are not in room on arrival.
Nowhere to put suitcase except floor. A suitcase stand would be good
The shower temperature varied, and there was insufficient hot water to fill the bath
All, staff, confort, etc
A bit expensive when you need to pay 13€ for parking..
The service friendly. Location excellent. Clear.
Bathroom extremely small. Warm dishes for breakfast warm in name only (about 7-7:30 were cold). Air conditioning for 1 and 2 tapped loudly.
- convenient location which is close to metro (between station of Plaza de espana and Venture rodriguez of L3); - room is clean and spacious with modern decoration; - kitchen facility is available free of charge once request at reception; - quiet neighborhood as it is not in the tourist zone.
I am a regular user of this Hotel, and it continues to be my number one choice when travelling to Madrid. The location is great, you are a few minutes walking from Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, Debod Temple, etc. I really recommend this hotel.
nothing to mention
Comfortable, quiet and good location. Staff really helpful...would recommend
Location; v close to metro, Main Street & palace
The hotel is well located, two blocks from Plaza Espana subway station and near the Royal Palace and the Debod Temple. It is a few minutes walking from San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor and from the commercial centre. The staff is very attentive and strives to serve you well. I was there two times when I visit Madrid, one in the beginning of the vacations and the other one in the last day in Spain. I stayed in two different categories of apartments, one with a big balcony in the roof and other a little smaller, but both were very good. The Breakfast buffet is also a good choice, with fruits, juices, many kind of breads and snacks, yogurts and other good options. If I go back to Madrid some day, I really intend to stay there again.
So easy to find from metro, ideal location. Nice quiet street. Clean modern rooms. Friendly helpful staff spoke good English. Didn't try food as we preferred eating out. Something left in room was posted on to us, really appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel charged my credit card in usd before I arrived, which costs an unnecessary commission. When I asked about it upon arrival two different staff told me I was wrong. I had to speak to a manager to get it resolved. I don't know who's making money off this but it is a problem at hotels in Spain.
Staff was so helpful and polite. Kitchinette is very useful.
Slow wifi in my room.
Apartment style hotel with the services of a real hotel, quiet street, good location
Noise from corridor (depends on your neighbors I guess), slow wifi when lots of devices connected
Very clean and comfortable, 5 minutes to the nearest metro station, convenient location.
The hotel/staff/location/service are absolutely great - and have not only satisfied but even surprised. Very clean, well-equiped and cozy.
The only bothering problem was a kindergarden in front of the hotel (probably there are also rooms with windows to the opposite side). During the kindergarden opening hours I sometimes forgot that I like kids )) And a hotel should have scales of course - nowadays the ailines' fines for overweight are too high. Anyway would recommend this hotel to anyone with no hesitations
Spacious rooms, good location.
Terrible staff! All went fine for the first two days. The next day, our AC broke and it was hot as hell. When we complained, the suggestion from the lady at the reception (short hair, don't remember her name), rudely suggested that we open the windows and sleep!!! Tired as we were, we even tried doing that, but it was too noisy and suffocating. After threatening to complain to her manager and even the police, she called the maintenance guy and got it fixed. The next morning, we described our experience to other people at the reception, who said that we should have booked directly with them and not with booking.com, that they don't get paid after a lot of delay form booking.com!! You only realize how good a place is based on how their service is when things aren't smooth I guess. Never going here again for sure!
very clean and cozy room. large room though not high cost.
Great location, just few steps from Plaza de Espagna. Good sound insulation, big and very clean room. The staff is very friendly. Free and fast WiFi internet connection.
