Our stay at the Garvey was beyond expectations. The food in particular was fabulous. It was the freshest seafood we have had in Spain and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly but not overly intrusive. The hotel is well positioned in Jerez and in waliking distnace to everything we needed. The parking was a little cramped but it was good to have secure parking.

We loved the hotel its design was really inspiring the staff were very attentive and were able to provide all the information we required when planning our places to visit. We will be returning to this hotel in the future for another relaxing stay. If we had to make any negative points it would be that the hotel is not very well signposted as you come into Jerez (we didn,t see it on the yellow boards where all the other hotels are marked up) after driving round trying to find it we eventually parked up and found it on foot. However, I can understand them wanting to keep it a secret as once there you didn,t want to leave!!!

Staff are very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is near the town center. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. With what we paid, we cannot ask for more. It will be our first choice if we come to visit Jerze.

Amazing hotel right in the centre of Jerez. Traffic can be a bit noisy, but nothing you wouldn't get used to.

Hotel Palacio Garvey is situated in the very heart of Jerez and is an ideal base for walking tours around the city. The rooms are quite luxurious but decorated with lots of leather - unusual... We had problems using our credit card here; this did not occur anywhere else during our week-long holiday.

I didn't like that there wasn't wifi in the rooms and also it was a hard slog to get my heavy suitcase up all the stairs to the room

A beautiful, enormous room overlooking a plaza and friendly helpful staff. Perfect location within walking distance of just about everything in Jerez. This is what all hotels should be like.

If you are in Jerez, don't think about staying anywhere else. This is the perfect combination of lovely staff, fantastic rooms and beautifully decorated areas. Add the location & you cannot go wrong. There have been previous review complaints about the breakfast. Ignore them all. The Garvey's breakfast of toast (+ jam + ham + cheese etc...) & coffee is all you need to start a day. You don't travel to Spain to eat a full English breakfast & if you do expect a full English, then stay in England. Thank you Garvey, don't change, you offer a brilliant package. Room Tip: Rooms aren't located near the lift, so peace & quiet on that front. However there are rooms on the second floor & the lift only goes to level 1, so if you are impaired, ask for a room on level 1.

Excellent helpful reception. The hotel is a great example of how a fine old building can be given a modern twist. Recently completely refurbished it is all one could expect from a hotel. The bed was the most comfortable experience. Top marks - well done.

The central location was perfect for our visit Jerez for a long weekend break to celebrate my wifes birthday. We felt like guests in a spacious town house rather than just hotel customers. The staff, particularly the receptionist when we arrived, made us feel very welcome and could not have been more helpful. Our room was large, comfortable and the bathroom fabulous, about three times larger than one in an average or even high priced hotel. The staircase and corridors, full of interesting artwork were a delight. Overall an an excellent choice and would definitely stay again. Only one slight criticism was that staying in November there were few other guests and there was no choice for breakfast. What we were given was nice but may not suit everybody.

Good location with parking enabling a walk to the cathedral, Royal Andalusian Riding School and sherry bodegas (recommend the Tio Pepe visit) Eccentric decor some of wihch works and some of wihch doesn't but discloses flair and imagination. Comfortable beds and excellent bathroom The receptionist pointed out the wrong street by mistake on our first nioght for a restaurant. Jerez has a dearth of good restaurants. Otherwise nothing to complain about

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of this hotel perfectly placed with all of Jerez in walking distance. The hotel was unusual being a converted palace with large rooms all off which were different, even though it was in the city centre it was very quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and went the extra mile to book restaurants and bodegas at times that suited us, and knew a lot about their city. Our stay in this hotel far exceeded what we were expecting and we would stay there again and recommend it to friends

This was a great hotel - great service, great rooms, great atmosphere. We have a young daughter who was taking a nap and my wife and I decided to go to breakfast in shifts so our daughter could nap; as soon as the staff realized what we were doing they sent my wife back to our room and brought our breakfast; which was amazing (no charge or tip; just great service). This is indicative of how they treat their guests. We will be back.

Excellent placed hotel ,just great for shopping and a host of local wine bars. The hotel has pleasant decor, friendly and helpful staff and surprisingly good gourmet style food in the restaurant. The bonus is that the hotel has its own car park. It is best to get directions as the car park is not obvious to find. We selected the hotel for its central location and it is a 15 minute walk from the famous Spanish school of Horses.. Fundacion real escula andaluza atre ecuestre. We saw the show one day and returned the next to see the training sessions, museum..etc. A double great experience. Add to that the lovely feel of Jerez and we need say no more. It would be just a bit nicer if the hotel had tea/coffeee making facilities in the rooms. The cafe in the hotel is not always open at the times you feel a warm drink would be pleasant.
