The location is central and very easy to walk everywhere. We were extremely unhappy with the attitude of the hotel in not dealing with our problems and complaints. We had booked a junior suite in November. We were not told by either your company or the hotel that we would be on the second floor with no lift access. We were charged the same amount as a much better room on the !st floor ( this had lift access)

The Hotel Palacio Garvey is well situated for visiting the Sherry Bodegas. The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished and every thing was very modern and the rooms were well furnished. On arrival, the lady in reception was very abrupt to our friends because I had booked two rooms in my name and he happened to be at the desk first and gave his name. Our room was very dark, with one small frosted glass window in the corner. The bathroom was fitted with good quality modern facilities, but there was no holder for the shower! Our friends had a bright, airy room with two windows overlooking the garden and a holder for the shower. For the same price. When we asked the same lady in reception why there was no holder for the shower she said, "Oh, you just have to hold it", which was obvious. When we said but our friends have a holder in their bathroom, her reply was "All our rooms are different" in a voice that said the matter was closed. The next morning there was another receptionist and she was completely different, very friendly.

Junior suite at rear of hotel was very impressive. Very spacious and luxurious, beyond what we expected. We had two good nights sleep and enjoyed the comforts of the room. The suite balcony was a welcome addition which we used morning and evening, even though the view wasn't anything, it was pleasant. The breakfast was fresh and well thought out. We tried the restaurant for lunch, also impressive. All staff friendly and helpful. Overall, left with a good impression. It surprises me this hotel isn't busier.

The friendliness of the staff is next to none. The decor is superb, location is perfect for everything and the whole experience is superb. The decor of the dining /eating /breakfast area is poor compared to all other areas. The bar area could be better done.

We had a junior suite with a lovely terrace which enabled us to have lovely views of jerez and the local square with entertainment and tapas bars which were really good during the evening. The hotel is excellently placed with easy access to all the sights and attractions. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The continental breakfasts were very good. We really cannot find anything bad to say about the hotel or it's facilities but was disappointed that we could not keep our room on until 6pm as requested as our flight was not till 9pm and having walked around all day in the hot sunshine it would have been better if we could have had a shower before our long journey home.

Nice hotel in a very central location. Room was very comfortable and staff very friendly. Spa bath was a nice touch too. Lighting in the room can improve (no main light so fairy dark even with all lamps on).

Excellent helpful reception. The hotel is a great example of how a fine old building can be given a modern twist. Recently completely refurbished it is all one could expect from a hotel. The bed was the most comfortable experience. Top marks - well done.

The best bed in Europe. Clean rooms! Loved it! Location is right in the middle of everything. Wish the resturant had a larger menu. Food was great but need more choices.

The central location was perfect for our visit Jerez for a long weekend break to celebrate my wifes birthday. We felt like guests in a spacious town house rather than just hotel customers. The staff, particularly the receptionist when we arrived, made us feel very welcome and could not have been more helpful. Our room was large, comfortable and the bathroom fabulous, about three times larger than one in an average or even high priced hotel. The staircase and corridors, full of interesting artwork were a delight. Overall an an excellent choice and would definitely stay again. Only one slight criticism was that staying in November there were few other guests and there was no choice for breakfast. What we were given was nice but may not suit everybody.

Great location. Pleasant staff. Modern and comfortable. Good breakfast included.Parking, The room we were allocated was on the second floor but the lift only went to the first. If you had heavy luggage it would have been difficult to carry up without help.

Good location with parking enabling a walk to the cathedral, Royal Andalusian Riding School and sherry bodegas (recommend the Tio Pepe visit) Eccentric decor some of wihch works and some of wihch doesn't but discloses flair and imagination. Comfortable beds and excellent bathroom The receptionist pointed out the wrong street by mistake on our first nioght for a restaurant. Jerez has a dearth of good restaurants. Otherwise nothing to complain about

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of this hotel perfectly placed with all of Jerez in walking distance. The hotel was unusual being a converted palace with large rooms all off which were different, even though it was in the city centre it was very quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and went the extra mile to book restaurants and bodegas at times that suited us, and knew a lot about their city. Our stay in this hotel far exceeded what we were expecting and we would stay there again and recommend it to friends

This was a great hotel - great service, great rooms, great atmosphere. We have a young daughter who was taking a nap and my wife and I decided to go to breakfast in shifts so our daughter could nap; as soon as the staff realized what we were doing they sent my wife back to our room and brought our breakfast; which was amazing (no charge or tip; just great service). This is indicative of how they treat their guests. We will be back.

Excellent placed hotel ,just great for shopping and a host of local wine bars. The hotel has pleasant decor, friendly and helpful staff and surprisingly good gourmet style food in the restaurant. The bonus is that the hotel has its own car park. It is best to get directions as the car park is not obvious to find. We selected the hotel for its central location and it is a 15 minute walk from the famous Spanish school of Horses.. Fundacion real escula andaluza atre ecuestre. We saw the show one day and returned the next to see the training sessions, museum..etc. A double great experience. Add to that the lovely feel of Jerez and we need say no more. It would be just a bit nicer if the hotel had tea/coffeee making facilities in the rooms. The cafe in the hotel is not always open at the times you feel a warm drink would be pleasant.

Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant, ambiance, location in older section, character and aesthetics. We don't mind climbing stairs but some people would. Plus I would prefer a traditional rather than a hand held shower.

This is a beautifully renovated hotel in a good location in Jerez. We were really lucky and got one of only 3 car parking spaces in front of the hotel. Our room was on the first floor and was spacious, light and really nicely decorated. Our bathroom was huge! The location is good. Not right in the centre but only 5 mins walk from the main shopping area. The hotel staff were really friendly - helping us with directions. Breakfast was simple but nice. Overall great value and we would stay here again if we return to Jerez.

Nice location, initial welcoming very good. Nice and clean hotel. A little bit like Ikea in terms of bedroom furnishings. Room a little noisey in the mornings as above kitchen/restaurant. Expected a better room as a jounier suite.

We stay in hotels a lot, several times every month. This is a delight. Excellent staff, very friendly and very professional. Great decor, built in what used to be a palace. Just an all around enjoyable experience.
